A Texas judge on Wednesday ruled out jail time for a teenager whose defense expert argued he suffered from "affluenza" that led him to drive drunk, crash and kill four people in June...
...When the teenager went on trial in December, prosecutors sought a sentence of 20 years in state custody. The defense expert, a psychologist, testified that the teen’s cushy upbringing, which resulted in his affluenza, prevented him from connecting bad behavior with its consequences...
...Instead, [the judge] ordered the teen to be sent to a locked rehabilitation facility paid for by his parents, according to a prosecutors' statement.

Affluenza? Isn't there a shot for that? Or is that influenza? Maybe we should inject him with a bunch of friendly needles, just to be sure... Seriously, though, if he's so out of it that he can't tell right from wrong, shouldn't he be in a nice padded cell somewhere where he can't hurt people?

2 답변I hope that defence expert gets hit by a drunk driver. Not killed, no, that would be too kind. Just horribly maimed and left paralysed for life. Stupid bastard.

Eh, at least they were completely honest about it in court. The kid is too white, and has too much money to go to jail. He only killed 4 people and seriously injured a few others. It's not like he's a black guy selling drugs.

1 답변He's a sixteen year old kid who's parents really -blam!-ed up when it came to instilling good judgement and values. Besides, if I remember right from before, the kid's gonna be on probation for a long number of years after that rehab, and probably won't have a drivers license again for a long time. He's not exactly out free and having fun. His parent's are paying for the treatment too, so it's not like taxpayer money goes to waste feeding the little failed abortion.
