"Nintendo is on the brink of collapse to"
But that's where you're wrong. Like massively so. Nintendo is making so much more profit than the entertainment division of MS, meaning Nintendo are doing better than MS in the gaming industry.

Nintendo lacks 1st and 3rd party support for their console, their handhelds are being dropped in price like crazy and all of them are pretty much the same thing except a bigger screen, smaller screen, no hinge, 3D no 3D, Lite and god knows what else. The software side of Nintendo is doing well, the hardware is suffering though and we'll see Nintendo go into Software only in the next decade because they cannot match Sony or MS except for Handhelds. Also MS has more than Nintendo to keep it afloat so it can lose the xbox side and still stick around, Nintendo and Sony cannot.

With the Vita's power Nintendo games would be awesome, just Nintendo handhelds are too established and people know what to expect since the original gameboy 20 years ago. Plus Sony charges much more and has a worse line up for the platform so it doesn't do as well, knock out Nintendo and the Vita could be pretty good if Nintendo 1st party stuff went onto it.

You do realize your entire post validated my argument.

Which is why Nintendo has the handhelds ruler locked down. Maybe if they didn't try so hard with motion control on their products. And also if a little more effort went into the Monster Hunter series. Why on Earth did that go to the Wii?

Funny you mention the handhelds. You know the handhelds are basically money printing machines right? They are getting so much money from them, the Playstation handheld market basically doesn't exist. And while the Wii U may not being doing so well, they are making profits. Hell they've made a profit almost every year since they entered the business. Nintendo aren't going anywhere
