I love the Xbox brand. I love Halo. Xbox live is great. I love the xbox controller. Titanfall is gonna be awesome! I'm even excited for kinect 2. But is anybody else concerned about the recent resolution issues? Why can't a next gen console run games at native 1080p and be on par with the completion? I'm seriously concerned about xbox one being underpowered...there is even a rumor that destiny will look better on ps4..great news if your buying that console, but not so great for xboxers...what do y'all think?

4 답변작성자: Xmark120 11/13/2013 1:28:22 AMI generally prefer gameplay over graphics, but I left the Xbox brand after this year's E3. The brand has become too casual and less game oriented.

1 답변It's not all about the hi-res or how fancy that graphics at its about you and your friends playing on ragnarock and scoring the last flag for the tie breaking win whither only 0:08 seconds left. Now that's what Xbox is all about.

5 답변Dividing up your game onto 4-6 platforms takes time and resources. The Playstation 4's method, is throw a bunch of RAM at it. It's easy to develop for. While the Xbox One's ESRAM method takes time, and is harder to develop for. As developers get use to developing with ESRAM in mind, the gap between the 2 next generation systems will close. If you're worried about Deadrising 3 and it's resolution/framerate, look at how many damn zombies are on the screen, look at everything going on. That's freaking impressive. And I doubt it could do such a thing if it were 1080p native running at 60fps.

3 답변I'm always concerned when Microsoft is involved. Let's hope this is one of the big problems and not a smaller one.

1 답변The first games in any console lifecycle are not going to be as visually stunning as those that come later. I'm sure we'll eventually see 1080p games on the console, once developers get accustomed to the new architecture. Even if Destiny does come out at 720p on xbox one, it's still hi-def, and I'm sure it'll still look great.

2 답변It has to do with the memory bandwidth and the fact that the esram is hard to program for. Give it a few years so developers can learn to properly use it.
-
2 답변I'm not concerned because this is the way things go during console launches. In a year or 2, the XB1 will be fine- Developers just need to get the hang of it. if you like Xbox, go with it. You have no reason to be worried.

2 답변Why so people think that what games look like at launch is how they will be forever? Look at COD2 when the 360 launched. It looks awful compared to games now. And if resolution is a concern for you OP you need to think about what is really important in life. All games will look sick on both consoles.

3 답변작성자: LaKillingFrenzy 11/12/2013 10:21:38 PMDude. Kinect takes up 10% of the CPU Microsoft said that by March it will only take 4%. We will see 1080p games my friend. We already have some: Forza NFS 2K14 Killer Instinct

1 답변Look at Halo CE compared to Black. Look at Oblivion compared to Skryim. Early in a consoles life the games don't look that great at first, but latter on the graphics improve. Give the developers time to get this to them. After all the X1 is just coming out.
-
1 답변Am I worried, nope. The launch games for the 360 were not that great looking. It will take a while for the developers to get use to the new hardware. Plus graphics don't mean anything if the gameplay and control is trash

1 답변Over 6 billion people on the planet, OP. Just sayin'. Anyways, I couldn't give two -blam!-s about resolution.
-
2 답변The PS4 is using Open GL just like the PS3, meaning it's much easier to develop for (right now). Expect games to be better optimized for the Xbox One once developers get used to the architecture.

3 답변작성자: Symmetry 11/12/2013 8:54:25 PMI really don't care. Games will improve visually throughout the systems lifetime. Isn't gameplay what matters most?

10 답변#Dealwithit Xbox made that slogan for a reason.
P.S I know the guy who made it was fired and probably didn't express microsofts initial thoughts. This is a joke. You have been warned.
I imagine it could OP, but the issue more is it limits what a developer can do. You can do a lot more running a game at 720p than you can at 1080p. In terms of quality difference most people aren't going to notice a difference at least comparing the two consoles considering both have relatively meh specs. Then OP it isn't like the Xbox One and the PS4 have the same specs. Microsoft has always had the less powerful console even now with the PS3 vs xbox 360, but that really didn't have much of an impact on this generation of consoles.
