How did the hive get to the moon?
Do you think the hive are from the moon or did they maybe crash-landthere? Maybe they were left their by another race? Hell mouth itself looks to be not of hive origin but maybe they infested it and have tooken over. What are your thoughts/speculation?

62 답변From what I've gathered from the audio in the latest trailer, the hive have been on the moon long before space flight was even the slightest glint in humanity's eyes. For all we know, that means the moon is the home planet of the hive, which would mean that we were the invaders, not the hive. That means that the hive are attacking purely because they are defending their home. This worries me, as that makes attacking them wrong.

They said early on that the moons surface had been scarred and transformed from something, maybe it was the creation of the hellmouth. If the hive are "zombies" in any classic sense maybe they migrate from system to system, camp out on a close satellite to an inhabited planet and wait to overrun it. Kinda like instead of a virus turning organisms into zombies, the virus is the organism that reproduces and takes over the living planet.

During our Golden Age, we sought to create giant underground cities on the moon, future dwellings and furthermore a kind of relay point for the upcoming expansion into our other planets. And then we found out that we were not alone in our solar system. Remnants of previous colonies were discovered on all our destinations. It wasn't long before they found us too. And our new neighbors were not welcoming. They tried to force us out. And when we fought back, they changed their plan. Extermination. We needed a new plan as well. Thats when we discovered a new extraterrestrial virus. One that they seemed to do everything they could to steer clear of. Curiosity got the better of us. A facility on the moon started developing weapons in an effort to harness what we thought would change the tide. That facility is now a deathpit. Funny, I always imagined I'd find Hell below, not floating above our heads. - I was pretty bored :P

If I remember right, the Hive are a form of zombie ... which makes me think they might be a type of 'cross' between the humans who were there and the creatures that once existed before man ... and then wiped out together as the 'evil force' tried to destroy all of mankind ...

I got the impression that the Hive have been on the moon for a very long time, and were awoken during our golden age, when we built the hellmouth, found the hive, and imprisoned them as best we could. This would imply that the hive would be unrelated to the other alien races, who arrived recently from extra-solar origins.
