of county relationships? Believe it or not, Ireland as tiny as it is, is split into 32 counties. 32. America has states, like counties. something like 50-ish I'm not too sure.
Do you guys hate neighboring counties and shit? Guys from meath hate the lads from Westmeath and vice versa. (battle of the boyne) Every county hates Derry. Every county likes waterford.
Is it like that in America, is Texas popular for example? Is there 1 state that everybody dislikes?

For other people in other states the mileage will vary. We all secretly laugh at their petitions to succeed from the union and their irrational belief that they could exist outside the USA though. Every group has their own top ten list of best and worst states.

Each state has counties, so Ireland is in a sense like a large American State, and there are rivalries for instance I lived in Campbell County, Virginia and we had sports rivalries with a lot of schools in Pittsylvania County, Virginia and Bedford County, and even some with the Greater Lynchburg Area.

Im from belfast in the North of Ireland (Northern Ireland but I don't recognize it as that) and the general thinking of a lot of people here in this part is pathetic, it is a shitty place with shitty people, with shitty culture. I don't like the loyalists here.

We have states, and each state is separated into counties. You can and will find prejudicial instances between states and counties. For example I live in Allen county, Indiana, which is the second largest county in the state. We are comprised of 1 major city and a multitude of smaller towns, plus a ton of rural farming land. We do not necessarily dislike other counties as a whole, but do know certain towns in surrounding counties that are undesirable. A couple are known for rampant meth lab activity, and another is known as a white supremacist / KKK affiliations, so just a bunch of jerked over red necks for the most part. State wise, I don't believe that any state comprehensively hates any other state. Now if you are politically driven, you may. Republicans may more or less hate California and New York (speculation on my part) for they tend to be very liberal. As a country we hate Canada, because Canadians.

In the US there are preconceptions (some can have some truth to them, but most are over-generalizations and non-complementary) about any geographic area. States, counties, cities, towns. People like to think that they are somehow superior to other people and will find any silly reason to support their belief. As far as counties? Here's a map showing all of the counties in just 1 of the 50 states. For us, inter-county rivalries are usually based around pre-college sports competitions.
