The Halo Community raised one of the largest uproars the gaming world has ever seen when the pic of MC in a wheelchair was shown and 3fail3 said they were wanting to make Halo "more accessible to casuals and wanted to make sure even the bad players could get the power weapons and hang with the pros". despite the public furor and the sharp (and continuing) decline in online player population, Frankie and team are still plowing ahead with this very goal. Will 3fail3 listen to you or anyone else who makes their paychecks possible through purchases? No, lol. They will not. Remember: Frankie and 3fail3 love Halo and know what's best for it. Which is why they admittedly specifically looked for and hired people who hated certain aspects of Halo and had a drive to change those things. Specifically, the things they hated were the things that they sucked at when they'd play Halo. I hate taxes, but I don't expect the IRS to hire me based on that hatred. The things that they removed/changed out of their hatred were aspects of Halo that made it so competitive, as well as set the casual apart from the serious Gamer. how bad were their changes? Halol 4 is so messed up that MLG permanently dropped Halo 4 from it's Professional Competition rotation. This happened after 3fail3 sat down with MLG professionals and tried to work it so that they could make some kind of professionally competitive playlist that [i]might[/i] work for competition. Even with the very Devs sitting down with them, nothing could be done because they had changed it too much towards the casual "every gamer is a winner" side of the coin. No, OP... you're witnessing the slow, wasting death of one of the greatest franchises ever. And it was all brought about by Frankie's ego.

I just saw Waypoint youtube vid on the champions bundle. The fanboys are so brainwashed and 343 will probably listen to them instead of us. They bash halo 3 in the comments section and when someone says they liked halo 3 more than 4 they call the person "not a true Halo fan because they left the series" hahahaha oh the fools. I was never hyped for Halo 4, and what really made me buy H4 was where MC was and what happened to Cortana.. And guess what? I disliked it. Didn't felt anything like Halo.

If they actually listened they wouldn't have added all those stupid generic fps features (ordinance, custom load outs, leveling up to unlock advantages) and would have kept the balanced arena combat that Halo is built on. Now that doesn't mean people wanted a Halo 3 clone, just balanced gameplay that rewarded the better player.

Honestly, I'm turning my back on the reclaimer saga. I will continue to play the halo games made by Bungie, but 343 has permanently ruined the franchise for me. The only reason I played halo 4 was for the custom games and forge. I grew up with halo. Halo CE was the first videogame I ever played. It was one of my childhood icons. It's also one of the reasons I want to go into the gaming industry, and seeing it slowly decline due to developer ignorance and negligence is hard to watch. I understand that 343 wants to make their own mark on halo, but u can't make that many changes and still call it halo. At least have the decency to call it or make it something different. I had high hopes that 343 could uphold the halo mantle, but their games don't feel like the original franchise at all. All I can say now is RIP Halo. I'm sticking with Bungie. I see great things in their future.
