Your Prefered Gaming Device (Explain Yourself)
My main goal creating this thread is to tell the world why you love gaming on a certain device, and why, in the hopes of getting more people to at least try out. Don't dis other consoles, but if you are going to say something bad about any, try to also think of what is good about it, and only show your sources they are requested.
If you wonder about my opinion, I think Windows, Xbox, and iPhone each have their merits.
Windows/PCs are great for anything complex (ex. Civilizations) and have a huge library of games (steam), and steam was built for windows in the first place, so most steam games are on windows. There is also a similarly large library of simple-ish flash games that are usually free (kongregate, armorgames, newgrounds, andkon arcade, etc.). Plus, its also a computer.
For whatever reason, i find it easier to use a controller to play video games. It just is. This is especially true for all the shooter/action exclusives on said consoles. I play Xbox over PS partly because of halo, and partly because i find the controller more ergonomically correct. But, seeing how you can use such a controller for PC now, and that i don't always want my kinnect on for the Xbone, especially for Windows, I might go back to PC again (I'm already starting to).
The only reason I said the iPhone is also one of my favorites is the ease of use and usability. It is usually easy to understand controls for these games, and it's on your phone, and most people bring their phone with them everywhere. This started up casual gaming, and its getting more people to respect gaming as a hobby, because now everyone is a gamer! That is good and bad, but mostly good.
So, yeah. Just choose say what you need to, get your voice heard, convince people to join the PC Master Race, or just get into a console argument like a gentleman. Just be nice.

dont really have a preference. i like xbox for friends an halo. i like ps for the great games and the powerful hardware. i like the wii u because it brings me the most joy and fun. i like the 3ds because it has great games and i can play them anywhere. i like the pc because i like buying the indie games on steam, and ending up putting a -blam!- ton of hours into indie games

PC -Regular Steam sales -Humble Bundles/sales -Periodic upgrades -No console-war drama Instead of GameStop, we get stores basically throwing games at you. New PC components usually come with a couple game keys, too.

I started on consoles, and got into PC gaming at relatively the same time as I was growing up. Don't get me wrong, consoles are alright, and I still do play on them, but my consoles don't have the same performance with regards to framerate/field of view as my PC does. I much prefer PC gaming because I dictate how I want my games to look/perform. When I attach my Xbox to my monitor, I have to move my chair back because the low field of view plays havoc with my eyes. It's clearly designed to be played on a tv from a distance back.

I primarily play PC as I prefer the exclusives. I also prefer mouse and keyboard for FPS games. I have my PS3 for all those glorious Japanese RPG exclusives like Ni no Kuni and Final Fantasy that they don't port to the PC. I also have my 3DS because holy shit it has the best games library this generation pretty much at minute and it only ever gets better.

Depends what kinda games. I like competitive shooters on PC, because they're smoother and generally have more content. Any game that I like playing in a group, whether it be online friends or people in my living room, is on Xbox.

Xbox: great exclusives like Halo, GoW, Fable, crackdown, and a crap load of arcade games. Best user interface in my opinion I always thought that PS3 had a complicated interface. Best online play, so what if you pay $5 a month it's totally worth it for great online play. The console logo and name and start up are brilliant and beautiful. Great controller, perfect for shooters, and any other game except fighters. I love the Kinect for it, tons of hilariously fun games while having accurate motion sensing. Avatars are awesome for showing off your personality and awesome awards. The achievement system is golden and makes me feel truly accomplished when that little beep goes off. And honestly my xbox is the best system I've ever owned
