With the Kinect for the Xbox 360 Ghost Recon was able to make the player a controller. This allowed another layer of immersion. Now with the newly designed Kinect for the Xbox One, do you think Bungie is going to take advantage of this powerful camera?
I would love to become one with Destiny and with the flick of a finger or twitch of my wrist switch weapons, or cast space magic.
What amazing Kinect technology/control do you hope for in Destiny? Do you want an option for Kinect or Controller; thereby giving choice? Or do you just want the game to be strictly controller based?

1 답변Typically, shoehorning a peripheral into a game that's already designed for a certain control input doesn't work very well. I think the Kinect is best for games like Dance Central etc. where it lets you do things you couldn't do with a controller. As for Destiny, I'd prefer actual responsive buttons I can press.

I think it'd be cool if it could map your face or something of that nature and help build the facial structure of your guardian and if you say something to it like call in your shrike or ship it then i will show up but beyond that i can't think of much more.

for me tomb raider did a good job on the one of using it well i could bring up my map say shotgun rifle stealth and get a silencer.i also like NBA 2K14 take i was playing a real close game up by 3pts and missed a shot and yelled F@#K and got a technical foul and the mavs tied it up and I lost in overtime after complaining and screaming at the game i laughed and now watch my mouth. so i say just need to use it responsibly and not as a novelity.

> I would love to become one with Destiny and with the flick of a finger or twitch of my wrist switch weapons, or cast space magic. well that's where the 'my body is ready' comes from.. yeah i really hope that bungie goes all out with kinect integration. should make for some seriously funny youtube clips.

Kinect to play would be stupid. That won't happen. But I could see leaning or movement affecting something in game. Like bf4. I don't use it myself, I'm all about dem controllers in my hands. But voice commands could be cool. "Nova bomb" or calling out the 'Ghost' or snapping up the menu would be nice. Custom animation from body tracking for your character also would be cool. Similar to "project spark". Haven't used it myself, but it would make personifying your Guardian more in depth. Like a wave or salute. I know those are animations in the game, I mean a variation. (Nobody likes the same damn dance actions in FABLE ie) Using the kinect to scan your facial features onto your character could make socializing in peaceful regions more interesting.

작성자: Stalwart 7/17/2013 6:36:56 PMthat might seriously mess with the sandbox and functionality/practicality of Destiny. What if Kinect playing is actually better (i.e. more accurate) but most people prefer controllers? Obviously, COD is pretty much already killing itself, so they aren't that worried about breaking the sandbox. But I don't think Bungie will do that. I hope. If there was a kinect server, that would be okay.

2 답변I do not care about kinect control for games but I do like the kinect for console and other non gaming verbal and motion control. Lets be honest all of the good games or the ones most people are excited for are probably going to be long gaming secessions and who really wants to stand up and wave their arms around for hours in order to play their favorite games. Trust me when I say this I have no problem feeling immersed in a great game, no need to stand up and wave my arms around while yelling at the tv.

I say both because I simply want something innovative. Something that MAKES me want to use it. A lot of creative minds on the Kinect team but alot of its features are gimmicky. I am excited for some of the tv/snap features. But when I sit down and play a game I want Kinect to stand out. Not just sit on top of my Xbone collecting dust because it useless. And don't force it on is either. Put some cool optional features in place to appease everybody.

No no no no, controller or M+KB, no waggly jumping up and flailing my arms about bullshit. If it were relegated to menu navigation only, maybe that would be neat, but I don't even want that. Microsoft failed so hard at marketing something nobody wanted that now they have to include it with the console for anyone to buy it, and I'm still not interested. Kinect was shit when it came out and it's shit now.

I support the Xbox but the kinect is so dumb. I feel like it's an attempt to open up to not serious gamers. Like the ones that don't understand how the buttons work. Integrating it into a serious game is just frustrating to me.

3 답변I prefer a controller over the kinect because I personally think that the technology should have been held back a few years for fine tuning. I think it's a useless piece of tech and I never use it.
