And it's fun as hell!
Yeah, it doesn't have that Arena Shooter feel, but that's what differentiates it from other Halos, and it works. To me, Invasion is really how Reach should be played.
Afterall, it isn't exactly a numbered Halo game. It's a spinoff/prequel. I don't think Bungie was wrong to change it up a bit.
But then there's Halo 4.
15 답변I can't wait until people in a few years recognize Halo 4 for what it is: a very good game. This just further emphasizes my point that people only hate on games because its the "cool thing" to do. People hate on Cod, yet, it's an addicting game for a reason. I'm not suggesting, OP, that you're one of the people that loves or hates a game because its cool, because I honestly don't know. All I know, is that MW2 wasn't recognized for its brilliance until years after its release. Halo 3, even, wasn't considered classic until 2008 (at minimum). I just got off Halo 4, Legendary Slayer feels amazing. But I just wish people would think for themselves. The community is so -blam!-ed right now.

1 답변I might pop in and play Reach once again pretty soon. Every time I'm in the mood to play Halo, I think about 4, then change my mind.

2 답변lol remember the topics when we said "In a year people will be talking about how good Reach was because people won't like Halo 4" and then other people thought they were crazy and that Reach would never be like that because it was no Halo 3? Good times.

It is fun, but it's almost unplayable at times. I'm on a perpetual quit probation, and half of the BTB games I join, my entire team leaves. If I leave, I can't play for 15 minutes, which is bullshit, so I have to sit in the game while my K/D suffers.

1 답변Reach was by far the best Halo game (in my opinion). I still go on matchmaking all the time. I haven't played Halo 4 in months, because of its awful Custom games and matchmaking. Anyone know if it improved?

작성자: Citrus raptor 7/15/2013 7:03:04 PMReach really is bittersweet for me. So many awesome things, but then just as many annoyances. Same goes for the Invasion mode and most of its multiplayer gametypes. In one instance it works just as it should, but in the other it breaks because of some random exploit or overuse of an intended feature. One of my main issues with the game's muliplayer, one that I rarely see brought up, or even looked at as a legitimate complaint; almost always brushed away with an obvious and simple solution* that's if anything more a testament to the problem, is the one about the balance between a clan/party and a matchmade team. *just find and play in a team of equally skilled players yourself. Sometimes the entire team leaves as soon as the game starts, just becasue they're about to fight a team that's in a party... It's not just Reach however, it's been like this since Halo 2, but it hasn't gotten any better. All attempts at solving it, have been more about figuring out a way to punish those who quit or repopulate the game with someing like drop in/out, than understanding the psychology of players from both sides, and/or try something creative. The latter is always hard, but I know there are many solutions; I've seen comments with a lot of solutions. Everything from only matching parties with parties of similar size to spawning the players in a safe zone. Not all are good, but that's what a beta is all about. Maybe reach should have an ongoing beta? (not to change player/weapon/etc stats though, just elements hat surround the core gameplay mechanics).
