Are we over hyping Destiny
Im serious are we letting our excitement get the best of us. should we expect Destiny to be a awesome experience or are we expecting too much

Some of you are. I remember I use to do a ton of research on games I really wanted to play. I realized that doing all this research and talking about it hypes the game up to unresaonable levels (whether you mean to or not). Ever since I stopped doing it I am a lot happier with my games. I honestly feel that this may turn out to be another Reach for some of you.

1 답변I think people's ideas and suggestions are over hyping it. This is an action shooter FPS. People are asking for too much outside of the genre. Lets just enjoy the game we are getting. Hey but to each his own. Just don't let the hype you create let you down when you get the game.

The part that is bad in my opinion was the main part of the game that should have been amazing is persistent worlds and they had to write their own engine for making such with background matchmaking but the next-gen consoles uppercutted the impressiveness of the achievement because the next-gen consoles (mostly Xbox One) heavily support and are built around making persistent worlds. Basically if Bungie didn't program better than the systems that the next-gen will have with their cloud that makes persistent worlds easier to make then Destiny will be eh because Destiny doesn't take advantage of the built in systems of next-gen cloud to also account for current gen.

Im hyped about the game but not overly expecting things im sure the game will be great and there will be aspects that I wont like but so far I have not seen one yet if ever I do it still wont affect how excited I am to get my hands on this game and how much I will love it, nothing in this world is perfect and it would be stupid to think this game will be. My expectations of this game is somewhat realistic I have wishes and hopes but I know there will be aspects of the game I might not like but like I said nothing in this world is perfect so why expect it. I will enjoy the game no matter what it brings and I am sure so will most of you.

I am just wondering how this game really will be from lots of interviews they said they can now do things they couldn't at the time they made halo. So now i am jsut wondering what are those things? To be honest I am not expecting Destiny to have a big innovative gameplay. But maybe the story is great enough to amaze us? I am wondering also how pvp will be though but to be hoenst I think we could expect the game to be good i mean they thought about this game after they dropped halo 2 so I hope its good not like over hyped good tough that they still have to convince us.

9 답변I'll be honest I haven't hyped the game up much let alone talk about it really. I barely visit this section of the forum. The game ... just doesn't pull me in. I always withhold my judgement on a game until we see the final product but as it stands it looks like a borderlands just with better graphics. I'm not really into the co-op type games (minus ME3 multiplayer) so I dunno. I'm not hyping anything because I feel there is nothing to be hyped for. Maybe when we see a (hopeful) glimpse of pvp it will change. I am expecting Destiny to be a game changer of the stale fps genre but haven't seen anything to prove otherwise yet. It doesn't seem like a game I could play day in and out and be hooked to like say Halo. Heck I still play Halo 3 (just did yesterday) so I'm hoping destiny can be a game I could play for a decade to come but we'll see. Hopefully I am not the only one who feels this way.

7 답변Nah, Bungie is playing her cards just right by telling us enough to keep us wondering, but not enough for us to overhype by talking about it day in day out. I think there defentely are people in this forum that overhyping a bit, but that only leads to amazing fan art and great imaginary stories about possible Destiny adventures, so why stop them? I say bring on the the overhyped fanboys and let them pour over us with speculations and art. Be brave

It's going to have space combat, and player housing, and I'm going to role-play all these scenarios, and it'll be a flawless virtual world where I can live out every space fantasy I've ever had. That's the impression I get from the Destiny forum. Disappointment will be had.

It depends on wether you make your own decisions or you let others make them for you. I personally think Destiny will be amazing, but don't usually get too excited, as nothing satisfies my full vision for a game. Mostly, I will let the game be what the developers want it to be, and enjoy it for that. If however, you scour these forums reading every bit of conjecture you come across(I do), and let it build the game for you(I don't do).... you will inevitably be disappointed at one time or another, and likely ruin the game for yourself. Certain people like certain styles of games. Bottom line, we won't know till destiny comes out.

Think of Destiny as though it is fire when it was first 'discovered'. We know it's great, powerful, and going to help us. It's scary for some and mesmerizing for others. Fire turned out far greater than the initial 'hype' for it. In conclusion, we aren't nearly hyped enough.

5 답변A little... As far as I've heard, there's been no mention of controllable space flight, which is a HUGE selling point for me and something I've been excited for since forever. I'm still going to play the -blam!- out of Destiny, but ya, we're hyping like crazy. Which isn't bad.

3 답변작성자: Gay Snake 7/9/2013 12:41:35 AMI know that I was overhyping. The moment I saw the gameplay, I calmed down a bit. Luckily I caught myself, if I hadn't Destiny's release would have turned into another Halo 4, at least for me.
