Why no Destiny for the Wii U
To my understanding, the Wii U is similar in capabilities to the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Why is Destiny being released for those consoles, but not the Wii U?

1 답변Trying to give a serious answer I know Nintendo to be brand that reaches out to a younger audience as opposed to Sony and Microsoft. So I can't imagine Nintendo even wanting the IP. And on a personal note after playing the alpha I don't believe there's anyway the control scheme would work with wii u controllers

But seriously, I think the playerbase of Wii U is so small, and it would be more difficult to port the game to it than for Xbox 360 and PS3.

작성자: Kichiro 7/9/2014 11:44:18 PMThere isn't enough people on the system, destiny needs lots of people to play for it to be at its best, bungie wants nothing but the best for this game, and activision wants money, I don't think they would even make a profit for them to port it over, besides if Bungie had time for that they would just make a PC port.

1 답변Because Bungie don't have the manpower to develop for that many consoles at once. They've gone from only making one version of a game, to making four different versions. That's also the reason why there won't be a PC version within the foreseeable future. Although Bungie employees has been slightly optimistic about a PC version in interviews, and said they just don't have the time. So we might get a PC port later. I don't believe anyone's asked them about a Wii U version, though.

2 답변The Wii U is a sinking ship , no one is buying it and it would be a waste of time and money to port destiny to Wii U. Nobody I know has a wii u...how many ppl do you personally know who have wii u. It's a waste Nintendo needs to stick to the 3ds and 2ds since those ate the only things that sell.

1 답변I think Bungie wants Destiny to actually sell. They aren't going spend millions of dollars to make a port of a game on a platform that has a user base of 4 people.

4 답변Honestly, the Wii U is a joke to consoles. It doesn't have a big player base, or selection of games. The only reason it sells is because of Nintendo exclusives. No offense if you own one, but the Wii U isn't a good envestment for developers.

3 답변Ill give a serious answer. The Wii U has a poor online network, severely hindering the mmo aspect. The gamepad also severely hinders the FPS UI, limiting gameplay.

3 답변I think it mainly due to the social aspect. I have a Wii U and would buy this for it in a heartbeat, but I doubt Bungie wants to gamble with with its poor 3rd party market. Also does anybody know about the Wii U Pro controllers? They're near identical to an XBox controller...

6 답변I personally dislike the Wii and Nintendo in general, but unlike some here, I'll provide an unbiased argument. The biggest reason in my opinion: They'd have to make it. They have not devoted anything to the Wii U, and it would be too much trouble to do it now. I don't see much profit in it, as most people who are fans of the FPS genre either don't have a Wii U, or have another platform as well as their Wii U, because the Wii U doesn't really have much of a shooter market. Yes, they would probably sell copies, but mot enough that It would be worth it. Most interested Wii U owners would just buy it for their PS4 or Xbox One in order to avoid the (for lack of a better word) dumbed-down version of the game. Now to go off on the Wii U a little bit. Sorry guys, I just have to. I really don't see how the console is still alive at this point. It relies too heavily on nostalgia, and too little changes. There is very little innovation as far as their games are concerned. In a world where we criticize the repetitive nature of yearly installments and their seemingly endless franchises, some of us continue to support games that are just re-hashes of last year's installment. That was probably really poorly worded, but hopefully I managed to get my point across. I'm starting to get tired... See you starside.
