Would you want to be in a real firefight?
Now before you flat out say no, hear me out.
A real firefight, with real guns, real ammo, but the load of the ammo (the bullet) is an incredibly safe form of sim munition that simply mark with a spot of paint.
Of course the sim munition would hurt, and depending on where you are hit, it would either be a casualty or a flat out KIA.
Other then the non-lethal aspect of the ammo, everything would be the same. recoil, noise, projectile velocities, range. All of it designed to simulate combat, but in a non-lethal environment.
Would anyone want to do that?
