Apparently, today is the day of silence.
Is anyone else participating in this? How are you doing it.
I have this pink band around my wrist, but I can still write and text.
I've never done this before. I feel like I should ask if there'd be any other way to do this. I'm open to suggestions.
Feels odd. I have all of my thoughts bottled up until the afternoon.

I cannot speak today for I am participating in the Day of Silence. It is a day to recognize those who took or lost their lives due to the violence against the LGBTQ community. We are silent today to represent the voices that weren't heard; the voices that were silenced.[/i]

No thanks. It's too inconvenient for me not to talk. I have school and work today. I don't necessarily have to talk during class, as it's mostly lecture-based but my job revolves around coworkers communicating. I'd probably get fired if I took a vow of silence. No thanks. I'll honor the LGBT community by being open-minded to them whenever I come across them.
