When i saw this pic it kinda reminded me of the pod races in star wars, should this be a feature in the game? If you can customize your racers this might be a fun add on to the game. just to keep things different ya know?

4 답변Yes. And for those wondering, I WOULD be down with first person as a racing point of view.

5 답변I don't know about using racing for travel, but I wouldn't mind heading down to the local race-pit to burn some rubber when I'm bored. It just seems like racing to travel would rely on waiting for people to be going the same way as you at the same time and make it difficult to find a race. With a centralized location you attract more people that actually came there to race instead of those that just want to pass through.

There should be racing, but the world they are building adds so many new possibilities. Between objectives, something like a simple "follow the rings" would work. You could have different cups for different planets, and one for the solar system. Bystanders could even act like the Tusken Raiders from the Episode I pod race and shoot at participants. There could even be a vehicle combat type of game mode.

How cool would it be if you could start off with just finding/buying some scrappy racer, and then progress and upgrade it, put money you gain into it until it just gets better and you can race in better leagues? We know already that there will be gambling in game, why not racing or at least betting on racing?

6 답변작성자: Spawn 3/31/2013 7:57:51 PMRacing? Hell yes. I personally hope that travel time is enforced upon and Destiny doesn't include "instant teleportation". For one, maybe when you and your friends start out, you can't travel to certain areas unless you're X level. Or... they let you, but you'll find that you should get more XP/rank to play with the big dogs. I think "podracing" would be awesome, but merely for a primary transportation across long distances. That way you're not completely skipping past certain areas of the world and maybe missing out on something you might have passed the first time through. At GDC Bungie talked about how programmers are use to "building one location that will be used once in the campaign" so players will never see it again. I think in Destiny, you'll be going around multiple areas, many times. You'll appreciate everything a bit more and using these fast means of transportation to get where the action is in your personal story. But pod-racing in general would be awesome :)

1 답변I can already think of a whole system of bets and other things that can be done with these races, and it can be done tourney style until we get the top ten racers.

Raceing matchmakeing type thing or w/e would be epic, save up some money buy a racer and be able to customize it to your specifications etc... then once a month or so bungie can set up a community event thats like the daytona 500 or a bracketted race tournament!

2 답변Would it be a good idea to add in depth features such as pod customization? features like diff parts to give you an edge in races or maybe diff weapons and traps to keep your enemy's at a distance. If it gets this fun there might even be clans centered around being the best racers in the universe? of the game that is :)

Seeing as how the races Awoken, Exo and Human were just revealed, your title is really terribly structured. Try fixing it. Like "Would Pike races be.." or "Would a race gametype be a good.." Because right now it seems like you're asking if species races are a good idea. As for what you're asking, I believe races will not only be in the game, but will be structured. In Halo 3, we had community made race maps and variants, in Halo: Reach Bungie actually implemented some race features and made it it's own gametype. Following that trend and Bungie wanting to make this game more social, I see racing (and gambling on the races) as a part of the game. Maybe something to do in the city, or outside the city. I see Bungie adding this for sure, to draw in players.
