So I just had a thought about the factions in Destiny and the new information we have about playable races. What if the factions were directly linked to the races we could pick? It would seem to explain the "gut decision" Staten was talking about if the only difference between races was some origin story, aesthetics and societal role. I first thought of it looking at the part about the Exo where they said they used the idea of undead as a concept, and I thought it would be cool to play an Exo in Osiris, as he was the egyptian god of the afterlife. But what if Osiris [i]was[/i] the Exo's faction? I think that would be pretty cool. In addition that would probably make humans New Monarchy and I think Dead Orbit makes the most sense for the Awoken, as they both seem to be linked to the Traveler. If this is true then we have a couple more playable races yet to be revealed and we can maybe begin to infer more about the races and factions we know about. What do you all think?
