i bought Sims 3 last year sometime off Steam and there was never a problem with it; it all worked fine. today i decided to buy some DLC for it (also from Steam) and for some reason Steam registers that i've bought and downloaded it, but the Sims 3 launcher refuses to. i Googled around and apparently this is a known issue with all Sims 3 DLC so my only option was to uninstall Sims 3; create an Origin account, input the serial numbers (from the base game and the DLC) on the Sims 3 website and download and install them all over again via the Origin client. needless to say; i hope this fixes the issue. this is why i don't like PC gaming; so many things can (and usually do) go wrong.
