/facepalm Do they even know what they are talking about? They keep referencing machine guns and such, its absolutely ridiculous. And penn was nailing it on the head, stop parroting the scapegoat, and face the actual issues.

1 답변Watching this video is infuriating. It baffles me how everyone, aside from Penn, is entitled to spew their opinion to a mass audience. It's almost laughable how the audience mindlessly claps after everything they say.

I love how they say it is ok and responsible for the news to cover a event like the shooting for "a week or two." I wish he covered the fact that it glorifies the event so copy cats will start to consider doing that as well. I am not a fan of BS because I find him to be rude and somewhat obnoxious. He does raise good points. I just wish he would a) tone down the cursing, and b) be a little more respectful even if it is infuriating.

She is just spewing non truths and sensationalizing everything. I think what gets me the most about her comments is just how ignorant they are. While the other two women just seem like they didn't try to educate themselves before the discussion, she seems like she actively looked for the most ignorant and stupid things she could possibly say. First off she says all semi automatic weapons should be banned, and then says pistols are ok (probably she believes you can only kill two people with them?). Semi automatic is a firing mode, not a type of gun and all handguns short of revolvers are semi automatic. Second, is it easy to turn a semi automatic weapon into a "machine gun"? Idk maybe but you want to know who does that? Criminals. The same people who wouldn't abide by a gun ban in the first place. I know plenty of responsible legal gun owners with semi automatic rifles with all kinds of crazy attachments that would give a soldier a hard on. But you know what they all have in common? They're all semi automatic and nothing short of a second civil war or the apocalypse would make any of these guys even entertain the idea of trying to convert their guns into "machine guns" and using them on other people. Third I'm sick of people calling for a ban on assault rifles. They're already illegal for crying out loud. An AR-15 and other similar weapons are NOT assault rifles. They can't fire automatically. It looks like an assault rifle but it is not. And stop calling it a "military style assault weapon" after people point out that fact to you. And why does it even matter anyway? If you're inside a building shooting at people, all weapons short of a bolt action rifle are going to be pretty much equally effective at killing unarmored people at close range. I'm at the point where I'm almost done being civil about this. Please, to anyone who is anti-gun, PLEASE go educate yourself before arguing about this. Seriously. And if you are still anti-gun afterwards, I can respect that assuming your arguments are based on fact. But I am sick and tired of people ranting and raving about this while basing their arguments on nothing more than sensationalized non-truths and just general bullshit.

The crazy thing about Penn is that I largely agree with most of his points and think he did a pretty good job of combating bad talking points this...discussion, but I still can't help but find him nearly insufferable most of the time.

3 답변The worst part of that clip is the studio audience. I HATE HATE HATE most US shows audiences. They clap for ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. Its sickening.
