Thinking about leaving Boy Scouts
Okay, so I was basically promised a leader position in my troop after I graduate (even though I didn't make Eagle). I went to this "meeting" to discuss what I have to do, blah blah bull shit.
Well, then the deal breaker came. If I am helping recruit kids, I CAN NOT accept Gays or Atheists...
Are you serious right now? I don't feel right supporting a "American" group that does that.

If you really are part of the Boy Scouts you would know their stance on issues as it has been the same since the organization's creation. Stop acting like this is something new to you so you can try to get attention on an off topic forum.

2 답변What the -blam!-? Nothing like that here in Australia. Hell, it's not even called the "boy scouts" here anymore, all mixed gender. Anybody can join... unless you're trying to join as a leader and have a bad criminal record or something. :P

Well, I'm pretty sure it's not a public organization so they can do what they want. It's your decision to stay or leave though. Although if you feel like it's wrong, take it up with someone who has the authority to change it.
