Why fireteam finder is not awesome
Joined a game for presage
Owners asks:
"Hey why are you using contraverse holds instead of nothing manacles"
I explain it's better in harder content because of the damage resistance and the weaken effect and grenade energy return creates near infinite grenade uptime with faster kills.

These types of interactions are more common than they should be and makes zero sense to me. No explanation of what they expect just weird judgement and kick I guess?
I test my builds and run them intentionally so always seems odd when someone tries to "correct" me or something.

Should have pointed out that the only thing Nothing Manacles gives you if you're running Chaos Accelerant is that kills would spawn more Scatter projectiles. Everything else that Exotic does is covered by the base Chaos Accelerant aspect without locking you into Scatter Grenades if you didn't want to use them for some reason. Contraverse Hold is better for content where grenades aren't guaranteed to get kills and gives you enough energy back even on a kill to spam grenades anyway. They kicked you because they didn't understand the game and just copied some YouTuber build, so you dodged a bullet in my opinion.

I joined a raid through FtF a few days ago. I was adjusting my loadout and weapons and I started getting criticized for my weapons, which were part of a different build but happened to be saved to that loadout. I told them I was in the middle of adjusting my loadout and those weren't the weapons I was using. They could see my gear and weapons changing in realtime. I got kicked. There's a lot of idiots out there.

This reminds me of when I chased out a Sherpa leaderboard during Heresy for GM Hypernet. My go to loadout was Arc-Peregrine's, with Storm's Keep+Le Monarque. The number of teams I'd join who then would proceed to tell me how "Hazardous Propulsion" is better on Arc, or "Prismatic is better" were laughable when that loadout was the Titan meta for that strike. #88 All Time Fine considering I had like 6-7 clears prior to that season, then jumped the Sherpa board. https://legacy.gm.report/leaderboards?type=sherpa&strike=hypernet-current#4611686018514220147

Contra > Manacles in high delta content. Since you have more grenade uptime on higher health targets, plus you get an extra fragment slot by not needing to use undermining. I have been a voidwalker main since D1... Manacles is great for dealing with a lot of trash mobs, but starts to drop off once the number of enemies drops. My Contra roll is really close with my Manacle roll, so I can swap between them often in a build. More often than not, I prefer having Contra overall unless there is a mod to feed the manacles more like grenadier or void hunger. With that said, having arc hunger, I switched to getaway for a run of presage yesterday. I thought about running manacles with an arc weapon to boost the uptime of the hunger buff... but overall getaway is just free, and I could get a nova each time I went down for a damage phase just from the hunger activation.
