Hey there, is 'mrmrayner80' your Steam profile name, or the login name you use to access the account (which may have a different profile name).
What I think might have happened is you linked Steam using your Steam registered email address and Steam password. This is actually a different profile to when you link it with your Steam login name and Steam password. Because it's a separate profile on the same email address, and is not the one your Steam client logs into, that is why the characters do not appear. Does that sound like what may have happened?

Hi I think you might be right, it says usualamoeba under mrmrayner80 when I log in to steam. I am a long time Xbox player and I have only recently bought a gaming handheld so I have never linked an account before. Below is what my destiny app shows : https://postimg.cc/r0jgp2b3 Is it fixable or am I stuck on a new account without my characters? Thanks for your reply

작성자: EckyThump 4/11/2026 12:47:14 PMUnfortunately due to the March 2025 policy change regarding account unlinking, there is no way to unlink that particular Steam profile, and so there's no way to link the characters to the correct Steam profile. If you're on PC though you could use the XBox for Microsoft PC version, which I believe is essentially the same thing you were using on the ROG Ally - and have access to your XBox characters that way?

Thanks for your help, I can use that version but I don’t own all of the expansions for the Microsoft PC version, only Xbox and Steam .. it seems crazy that you can make a mistake and there is no way to rectify it … I guess I will have to start again if I can be bothered lol Thanks for your help though and at least clearing it up for me!
