I posted this not too long ago:
“ I was playing on my boyfriend’s account, and saw someone with the name Alpa C.H.I.N.O (from Tropic Thunder), and I typed their name (minus the periods in between each letter) to say it was hilarious, but “C.H.I.N.O” came up as music notes. Does that mean it’ll be flagged as a curse word or something? Is my boyfriend going to be banned from chat?!”
***
Many people assured me that there would not be a chat ban, but now my boyfriend’s chat is disabled. Does that mean he’s banned from chat? How can we tell the difference between a chat ban and chat being disabled because of some sort of parental control, as I’ve heard this has happened to people before due to date of birth verification?
I’m really worried now that I got my boyfriend banned from chat when I didn’t even do anything wrong. :(
How long will this last?

1 답변In game, open inventory, goto settings tab, down to social, scroll down to text chat, select option for text chat being on/off. Maybe he isn't banned and doesn't want you chatting on his account.

2 답변Hi there, Thank you for reaching out. For the affected account: If it’s a chat restriction/ban, there’s usually: An email sent to the address on the Bungie account explaining a communication restriction, and An in‑game message when trying to use chat saying that chat is disabled due to a restriction. If it’s age/parental controls, chat options are typically: Greyed out in the game’s social/chat settings, and Controlled by the platform/Bungie.net age or parental settings instead of a moderation action. What I’d suggest: Have them check the email inbox tied to his Bungie account (and spam/junk) for any message about a communication restriction. Check Bungie.net → Settings → Privacy/Communications and the platform’s family/parental controls to see if chat is being limited there.
