4 답변When does it come out again? March? Sorry Bungie. I would rather play the Crimson Butterfly Remaster coming out that month then whatever is limping it's way out your studio.
-
Just give it three to four months. Marathon is coming out in March and no one seems excited for it. Even non Destiny YouTubers don't seem excited for it. The game's gonna get low player numbers and bad reviews. With how strict Sony is being about Live Service Games, it'll be dead by April or May.

1 답변They’re desperate. So in the hopes that everyone has forgotten their statements back before the great art theft, “Marathon is not going to be a game for Destiny players”, they’re cram as much of it in our face and down our throats as possible.

It’s not surprising. It seems that Bungie’s future depends on Marathon being a success so they’re going to market it where they can. I’m not supporting Marathon in any way though. I’ve seen nothing that makes it look remotely interesting. From an overall aesthetic perspective (environment /characters/shells) I think it looks awful. -
It's sad that there are actual players who see it and are completely fine with how things are turning out. Same people are the reason why there are EV popups almost every season and dungeon advertising this or that cosmetic, and also why Bungie gave up on their promise for there being a new earnable set of world gear ever since they made the last one so damned ugly. At best, I expect Marathon to make somewhat of a splash for people interested in the extraction shooter genre and the few people interested in the Marathon lore side, but outside of that I imagine it will only be hot for a few months before hitting a player pop plateau and then suffering from all of the wounds that Bungie brought upon it. There's a good number of heavy contenders and Bungie's bad PR will act as the second word of mouth, as it were. It's not Destiny, plain and simple. I for one have no interest and seeing how they have so poorly handled Destiny PvP I also imagine that there's gonna be cases of cheating issues in that game despite a price point barrier of entry. If any of the BDF members want to help out then by all means, go and purchase a copy of Marathon. You're more than welcome to stay there, as I'm sure we'd all be in agreement about that. 1 답변I guess they haven't been listening . None of us care about Marathon. DOA.. all those resources that should of been used for a once thriving game. SAD

1 답변it's funny that marathon is advertised in the eververse store under destiny 2 expansions.

4 답변It's cheaper advertising to a known audience and it will give a tangible number and level of interest from old IP to new it's a logical and business appropriate use of resources and time... If you don't like it don't buy it it's that's simple... complaining about it is free advertising for the product at no cost to the company in question... you just got hooked in to working for them for Free...

8 답변A company has every right to advertise their new product on their website and services. You do not own or nor have any say over it.

2 답변Ah yes, the classic “you advertised something, therefore you exploited and abandoned everyone” argument. Truly airtight logic. Apparently, sharing promotions now qualifies as “jamming ads down people’s throats,” despite the fact that no one is being physically restrained and forced to engage. Scrolling past content, muting accounts, or simply not caring remain free and widely available options. And the idea that the community was “milked dry and abandoned” is especially impressive. It neatly erases all nuance, effort, time, and actual work that went into building and maintaining it, in favor of a dramatic villain narrative. Because obviously, if someone doesn’t operate exactly the way *you* want forever, they must have been running a long con the entire time. It’s also fascinating how promotion is suddenly immoral the moment it’s visible. As if communities exist in some magical economic vacuum where servers, tools, labor, and time cost nothing, and anyone who dares to mention a product or project is committing a moral crime. Truly shocking behavior: attempting to sustain something. What’s missing here isn’t restraint from advertising — it’s perspective. This comment isn’t criticism; it’s a tantrum dressed up as righteous outrage. There’s no suggestion, no solution, no actual engagement with reality — just an accusation and a demand that everyone else disappear quietly. If you don’t like seeing promotions, that’s fine. If you feel disconnected from the direction things went, also fine. But pretending that occasional advertising equals exploitation, or that evolution equals abandonment, is just lazy framing. It’s easier to yell “sellout” than to acknowledge that things change and people adapt. So no, this isn’t someone “jamming advertisements down the throats” of a helpless community they drained and ditched. It’s someone communicating and promoting in a space where participation is optional a concept that, admittedly, tends to ruin a perfectly good outrage narrative.

작성자: Obelix 1/19/2026 10:17:44 PMIt still make sense to advertise it to D2 players. But it’s definitely not a successor to it. Maybe an alternative to diversify your experience when you’re bored in D2… I won’t lie, I like the DA and the lastest gameplay I’ve seen, but given the more competitive, survival and challenging take Marathon offers, I’m not interested at the moment.
