Frankly the problem is not the portal the problem is there's not enough new content and new rewards in the game this does not feel like an expansion. Think about a bungee made a big deal that the call to arms for November 11th was going to be something so crazy as a catch up event to make people come back come back for a f ornament 😆 Whatever bungie is smoking they need to get off it and go to rehab

The portal could fit into a bar at the bottom of the screen like the way we had nightfalls and featured raid in D1. Most of the first portal screen is empty with just the expansion splash screen there.
