People wanted to get rid of a poorly implemented system, it blowed over after they fixed it and improved up upon it.’
I think what people are tired of is half baked and unfinished systems being implemented

Sure, but the same can be said for Pathfinder. The point is that the developers cannot seem to stick with a direction, and players would’ve appreciated it if they just stuck with Pathfinder and made it better - rather than changing yet again

They're not going back to Pathfinder after all the dev time and resources they put into the Portal. They didn't do that for the pathfinder systems rough launch and that isnt likely to happen with the Portal. It's a live service game. They look ahead to try new things where possible.
