I recently returned after not playing properly for a year and been catching up on the story stuff and does anyone else feel like it’s missing a sort of vibe or feel the way destiny 1 and early days destiny 2 felt.
When I think of some of my best memories I think to my first time clearing vog when the max light was 30 and I was stuck at 25 being floored by praetorians and not knowing what the darkness was, just knowing that there was something out there. Even at the end of destiny 1 playing rise of iron and the vibe was still good and there was still so much depth to the game and the stories were interesting but still left a bit of mystery.
Then destiny 2 came out and imo it was great I enjoyed the story and how we had to come back from nearly being killed to taking down Gaul, even then I think the game was still good getting the seeds of the traveler to unlock the subclasses for the first time, exploring Edz and Nessus when it has the leviathan in the sky box and the ending to the base game with the triangle ships waking up not knowing what was coming but just knowing the big enemy that’s been spoke about since d1 is on its way.
Then starting to see it get. Closer and closer to earth in season of worthy was cool and when it showed up in arrivals, my point is does anyone else miss the way the game used to feel I don’t know if it’s a story change or the execution is worse but I miss the feeling of playing destiny 1
Go back and play Destiny 1, it's light years ahead of the current garbage.
