Realistically, to think Parsons had anything to do with the quality of D2 shows a lack of understanding of how corporations are run. No way he was down in the weeds. That was never his forte, even in his earliest days. All he did the last few years, was look at the numbers, send some emails, have an executive meeting or two, and then get back to collecting cars.
Truman didn't get bumped up, he's essentially got the same job he had before except he reports to Sony, not Peter Parsons. So yeah, as far as the game is concerned, Truman for sure had more to do with D2 the product than Parsons ever did

Everywhere I've ever worked, it was " X needs to happen by February, make it happen" and these instructions would trickle down to management teams to plan, implement, and create processes to meet goals.
Never once was a CEO, or equivalent, on the floor every day telling staff what to do.
