Dear Bungie-
As a mostly solo player I do NOT enjoy being forced to run maxed modifiers in mythic or doing grandmaster severely underleveled in every activity just to maybe get rewards that aren’t instantly deleted. I just wasted 40+ minutes in Battlefield Oracle where my matchmade fireteam did fine but had the audacity to die to the 10 million champions permanently spawning and ZERO revives. Seriously? What are you thinking?
I don’t want to be weaker as I progress. I don’t want every activity to be so stacked against me where I NEVER feel any power from my progression. I had more fun at 200 light than I do now. Every activity is a slog. Every activity is such a grind and one mistake gets you zero. Absolutely ridiculous.
I don't get these posts.
I over level GM activities now because of the bonus we have this week and still get A grade rewards. I'm 427 and set up activities to have 420 enemies to get the best rewards.
Do you own the seasonal rewards pass or are you free to play?
What modifiers are you using and what light level are you,
Use all the mods that don't increase enemy level then add a couple that do.
Use featured and new gear for maximum score multipliers.
Every 20 light levels the score multipliers change, it's a bit harder a 300 then gets easier as you get closer to 320. Then again, you have to be a bit underleveled then gets easier until 340... so on and so forth.

All of your advise could be good, except for the featured and new gear. The devs should not make incentive for using new gear when you play a game that uses play with any gear you have/want as the basis of their game. People should get the same rank/reward/multipler whether they use new gear or not.

Same as how you can get same rank and rewards without owning season pass. You just need to add 1 extra modifier. Of coarse its arguably unfair but bungie have always added incentives for one thing or another. Some like to have incentives while other think it's unfair. Can't please everyone.
You don't make incentive by making new gears needing one less modifiers to reach a rank, you make them interesting to switch through different means
Huh? You were asking about pay to win and I answered that no it's not pay to win. You can "win" without seasonal bonuses. For me new gear is interesting. If it's not for you then use what you like, no one's stopping you to play how you want or play warframe, you always mention how it's better than destiny yet here ypu are complaining about destiny instead playing fun stuff. I like that the new gear can give 5 x 100 stats or that I can have 200 stat grenades or melee abilities which do massive damage.

You can call it pay to win even though you can still "win" the same rewards from activity completions without the bonus multiplier. So my answer is NO it's not pay to win now.

I made 360 this past weekend, and the game decided to start to default to GM level. Actually caught me off guard and i loaded in to one with all my matter modifiers, and was confused as to why suddenly everything was eating me. Now that I'm approaching 370, I have my choice if either doing GM with no modifiers, or Master with enough modifiers to take it to 360. Both give me A ranks easily. And honestly, they are both really easy to do. Given, this in as a titan main running either Alpha/Stormkeep or the new hammer exotic, depending on my mood. So maybe the health regen and overall survivability of those builds is skewing my experience. All i know is i still have zero interest in the playlist stuff unless I've got 3 bonus drops stored to redeem, because those are Not friendly. Maybe that why people find this stuff hard?
I'm now around 375, and I'm just defaulting to running on gm difficulty. It's still not hard. Are you trying to indicate that the difficulty is going to spike once i start having to put modifiers on?
Nah, it stays about the same if not easier. Definitely more fun with modifiers though. At least you can change those up every now and then when doing the same activity over and over lol.

I chose to subject myself to a -60 gm run when i first unlocked the ability to access then, to complete a guardian rank tick. I honestly am not having issues playing the game, other than the obvious grind, but since I'm not obsessed with 'efficiency', i already shake things up a lot. Plus, without an event bonus engram for featured activities, I'm happy to run whatever i want. I play because i enjoy playing. Why kill that fun to be the most optimal?

However if you want to reach 450, you probably should. 450 ain’t needed by any means, it is just here to be aspirational pursuit for those looking for more.

I'm with you. This stuff is really easy. Sure its monotonous, but its not hard if you know how to optimize a build for the current Solo Ops. I main Warlock, and I love GETAWAY ARTIST. Makes everything easy. But I had to change it up because its not featured and affects your drops. So I switched to Geomags. Works great on Caldera and K1, not so much when you need to capture plates. So I switched to Rime Coat Raiment Prismatic with Devour. Makes Creation a piece of cake. Your timer should never get close to running out if you use the right builds and weapons to make it easier. If anyone needs more details, I'm glad to provide them. I'm 430 power at the moment.

I definitely agree there are some super easy GM solo ops like K1, Caldara, and Sky watch. It just gets insanely boring running those. I saw the vid from Esoterikk (one of the best players in this game IMO) running that same warlock build on Creation. If I remember right even he didn’t finish under the time limit (could be wrong on that). I guess where I’m at (360 light), it’s that tough middle section of each leveling tier that puts you in either the next tier difficulty (GM) very under leveled or you need to max modifiers in your current tier (Master) and that feels… well… bad. The same happened going from Expert to Master but it didn’t add so many champions etc which still allowed for your chosen preferred loadout. Definitely appreciate the helpful feedback as I’ve been meaning to try both those builds (getaway artist and Rimecoat). Maybe my experience will change with those but still don’t like the overall progressing and always feeling weaker, but maybe those two set ups will make it less painful. Thanks!!!!

If I am able to to complete Creation with about 3 to 4 minutes left on the clock while 40 light under due to just hitting 400 and not owning the season pass on my Xbox account then Eso is finishing with at least 4 or more minutes left.

What part of “(I could be wrong)” was hard to understand? But thanks for the clarification. We were all waiting breathlessly to confirm something stupid Oh and then the obligatory brag on your awesomeness. We are all humbled. 🤡

Brag on my awesomeness? Pointing out facts to correct info is interpreted as bragging for very specific reasons, way to go at exposing yourself.

This is all rubbish. To be honest. No one and I mean no one like this kind of design. Players have been saying get rid of the power limited since it was introduced. You MAY be fine, or you MAY be exaggerating, I have no idea. Fundamentally this expansion is going nowhere. Lowest day one number in D2 history. Lowest average daily numbers in D2 history. You can continue claim it is all good but it really is not. I am glad you are having fun, but you are in a vast minority.
