God Almighty friend, get a grip! You paid for the Campaign skip, you got it... doesn't say anything about the Sieve. Not as if the Sieve is difficult anyway.
You've already skipped the most tedious part anyway! What more do you want... a 2000 silver pass to a Raid completion?
If ur prepared to throw money down the drain for 1 exotic like that, you're your own worst enemy. Bungie have sucked you in and you bit!

Now to get the exotic, I've got to do the campaign on legendary version, so money wasted for nothing. I've learned my lesson and won't do it again. Just a scummy move from them which made me very angry.

Hi there. Character boosts have not been changed. Character boosts have never auto-completed a campaign's Legendary difficulty, and as such, do not grant campaign exotics. They are simply to bypass the requirement of repeating missions to access the rest of the DLC and they "boost" a character's level by giving a full set of armor. Since the introduction of Brave vs Legendary campaigns with Witch Queen, a campaign's respective new exotics are only guaranteed by playing the campaign missions on Legendary. As you're also aware, the alternative to getting the new exotics as random drop from the Sieve activity.

In the past you could buy new exotics from Rahool after resetting his reputation each season, but he no longer has reputation to earn. He has the same pages for buying exotics now, but I haven't checked with one of my characters that doesn't have a new exotic to see if I can buy it directly. If not, the options are still Legendary campaign or Sieve.
