Word. The only reason I can come up with is that even Bungie thinks that their current playerbase wouldnt be able to support it.

작성자: JerBear 8/11/2025 7:58:55 PMYou're another guy who doesn't understand numbers & throws steam quotes around like a town cryer singing 'bring out your dead'. Steam numbers are concurrent, so a 1 second snapshot every 3 hours, 9 times a day, on the smallest platform. The other numbers are unique bungie account logins over a 24 hour period from reset to reset Both show trends, but the steam number doest show much info & doesnt show game health, especially given how it's dropped from clear 2nd platform, to clear bottom platform in the last 9 months, very likely due to the cheating epidemic that bungie simply can't contain. I know you probably do know steam is concurrent given you said 'peaks' it's just tiring seeing so many people use it as a weapon when it's basically a feather For context, daily numbers at edge launch was 750k, so we've only had a 13% loss since release, (final shapr lost 50% inside a month) despite all the outrage - it seems people are still playing. Battlefield 6 beta had millions of players this weekend, decimated every games playerbase in its bath as it took players from every game - but destiny barely dropped - only addicts remain is my guess.

작성자: Dooodley 8/11/2025 10:20:56 PMSidenote, how do you get daily numbers across all platforms? Back on topic, concurrent numbers are all that matter for MM. And I love how you go on about me being on this doomsday rant for throwing out a reasonable guess. But hey, let's just go with Bungie being stupid and not understanding the playerbase then.

Charlemagne bot on discord. Same guy who runs warmind but it's far more detailed, shows daily numbers, activities, platforms etc. There's a nice twitch channel called cbro who shows concurrent numbers streamed, it's just a graph & numbers, no actual streamer. I think he does like steam but it's far more detailed & his snapshots are like every 30 mins. Go to twitch.tv & search cbro
