I have a hearing disability and I disagree.
I dont need to be able to do everything and thats okay. If there is a particular piece of content that has a heavy emphasis on hearing (oracle's in VoG) i find a way to do it or let others handle it.
I dont do too well in things like Warzone and R6 because of the emphasis on footsteps, and thats okay. I do what I can and it is what it is and thats okay.
I dont want exotics if they are just handed to me on a silver platter because im deaf. I'd rather rise to the challenge and succeed in my own way and earn the loot.
I dont want a game to be reduced in potential or value because they feel the need to to cater to me and my issues. Ill handle me. Focus on making a good game first and foremost.
I'm a disabled vet due to hearing loss. I think the post is about the fact that there are many and varied disabilities which can effect the enjoyment of the game. Having difficulty settings is common in video games. Making games accessible to as many players as possible is good for business and hurts no one.

There are and its nice when a game *can* help with a disability and it doesn't actively hinder the quality of the game. That said for bungie to make things like raids, dungeons and end game content hyper accessible they have to actively make it crappy.
As for making games as accessible as possible being good for business, the entire boom of the souls genre would disagree.
Souls games are unforgiving and brutal. They dont hand hold, they don't cater. They straight up tell you that you died with no sunshine and rainbows. And guess what? Elden Ring sold 25million copies and nightreign, a freaking spinoff has sold more than final shape and will likely have more sales than this next d2 expansion.
