Toxicity in game
I know I am on older gamer and I love the game, however I can’t keep going not continue to play the game and content without some sort of online bullying or toxicity comments. It’s just so disheartening I had to get my refund for edge of fate preorder. I absolutely love the game and content and could care less about what’s coming because I would’ve played it because I love the game. I can’t continue to play and be harassed in one form or another. If it’s not me it’s another person that gets it in every raid or dungeon. The d1 players are worse than the new ones but this is by far the most toxic game I’ve played. Just so sad to not be able to play something I like. Thank you all that were kind for a good time and spent teaching me how to overcome things. The bad out weighs the good here and I’ve got to quit today.

Thats why I joined a older clan. The can i'm in was dads of destiny once, but morphed due to other folk wanting in and not being "dads" etc. Good bunch of folk who played together and had a good laugh and chatted (text etc) on discord. Completed Raids and carried folk who were unsure of the mechanics... or who fell asleep or were drunk.... ahem... .. Did dungeons, patrols, pvp, private matches with "special" rules etc, could nearly always get a fireteam of good company. Still do. Just stayed away from the toxic element lfg etc. our average age is probably about 45-50. You will find also that the forums tend to bring out the toxic folk too. They are anonymous, can say what they want and generally put you down for some irk they have. or try to be pedantic to the point of stupidity.

LFG is bit of a mixed bag. I rarely used it but usually you can tell pretty fast what kind of group it's gonna be. I left one group immediately after the leader started the whole conversation not by greeting people but yelling "MiC oR kICk!!!!" even though everyone seemed to have their mic on lmao. Was pretty good indicator how it would have ended up and I have no reason to help a-holes with anything. But then again I've ran couple raids with lfg successfully with nice people. Just remember you shouldn't go in blind with lfg. At least have some idea about mechanics, damage phase etc of the activity you're looking to do. The best bet is to make your own lfg post obviously. Pvp is a whole another story and I highly recommend turning messages and voice chat off regardless of the activity.

Problems is Who tf tries raids nowadays in this state of the lower playerbase, did a last wish today, 2 bros went at eachothers throats during the raid but I digress, we finished it. If it is messages, just ignore them. You can even turn off text chat. Toxicity is a problem, in any videogame and there is nothing you can change about it, cod has it, siege has it, halo has it, destiny has it. Pretending this is just a destiny problem is disingenuous

Yeah that's the problem the community is very dysfunctional you try to do a dungeon or you try to do any co-op activity all you get is players who don't know what they're doing who don't want to commute who don't want to work together and if you try to question them or give them any kind of instruction all you do is get constant toxicity and threats from other players. I'm very concerned about these kind of players because the way edge of fate is going to be designed it's gonna be heavily co-op because if you want to get like tier 4 and tier 5 gear you have to do co-op because you have to activate all of the hardest modifiers to get the highest score once you hit 350 or close to 400 a team would be required for successful runs.
