Sure but Merciless is already incredible. Just throw on a Solar Loader & call it a day. Even better, stand behind a [i]Storm's Keep[/i] Rally Barricade.

It's decent. Not incredible. In the regular sandbox where DPS rotations typically dominate, Merciless needs longer periods of sustained damage to make it worth dedicating your DPS phase time to. As for Rally Barricade, not everyone plays Titan.

What do you prefer to run alongside it? My biggest issue with Merciless has been a lack of quality Solar Legendary Heavies to pair up with it. Last I remember using it regularly was S23 with Apex. Other than that, it's accompanied me once this Season through Insight Terminus to supplement my Heavy (Strand Titan +1:2 & an Eager). It was solid in there for Kargen.

Since I'd be using it in DPS scenarios (swapping to other weapons cancels Conserve Momentum stacks and damage bonus) I run a Machine Gun as my heavy and sometimes will set my finder mod to special to ensure I always have it ready for DPS. Since special ammo is already more abundant, it gives you room to also use it to melt the occasional champion or group of majors too. It's fun because your Heavy weapon basically becomes your special weapon.
