Just the one time. I'd only changed my name the one time and about 2 weeks later, the most recent update happened and my name was changed.

Unless the previous name was so bad they decided to remove any remaining tokens. Or there's a new bug going around. Others are reporting that they have no name changes despite never changing their names. It hasn't been officially acknowledged yet. Until they do or give us another token you are stuck with what you have.

I understand that, but due to my own ignorance, I never read the CoC so I didn’t know it would be a problem. It was my fault. The reason I posted on here to begin with is because bungie didn’t specify that my name violated the CoC. I was confused. I received a generic message that wasn’t specific to why my name was changed. Now I know that it was my fault. I was only saying I didn’t think it would be a problem because other names have been overtly explicit.

작성자: viiTactiiCZz 3/17/2025 5:50:03 PMNgl kinda wish Bungie would just get the filtering in-game sorted and tie name displaying to the profanity filter. Obviously the most egregious names would be changed to Guardian, but the lesser ones that are stupid immature/innuendo should just be tied to filter options and hidden (shown as Guardian) unless you click on their name. Got them as a friend? shown regardless Profanity filter enabled? you don't see names that would be considered as 'filtered names' Filter disabled? you see all names except the forced change egregious ones.

A solid idea, but I think you're setting the bar a little high for Bungie on this one. Besides, one would think that if a person is picking a name that they think is funny because it's innuendo, common sense would trigger a warning claxon in that person's head before they submit it. Then again, I've read on here that common sense is like a super power these days and not everyone can be an X-Man.

Genuinely cant remember the last time my profanity filter being disabled actually worked, but DMG was 'Looking into our chat moderation and such this week.' 26 days ago. My chat still gets random stuff filtered, no indicator of when they'll fix erroneous filtering despite multiple tickets being sent in to them giving exact scenarios of the filter triggering once but sending it multiple times it'll work.

A lot of what gets censored is ridiculous, but we can thank people who try to do end-runs around the filter for that not to mention people who are overly "sensitive" to the most innocuous terms. I mean, I can't post about Beavis and B***head without having to do what I just did here. Do words like that really offend?
