Most players agree with you. Don't listen to the fan boys that defend every stupid thing Bungie does. There is a good video from Mactic that goes into great detail on making this a more doable GM. The problem is that the game has been in such a bad state that most clans are dead. This leaves fireteam finder or lfg to put a team together. It'-blam!- or miss getting a competent fireteam together, so many people don't want to use comms because of the toxicity that's prevalent in the D2 community. I stopped raiding because of the bad apples I seemed to keep running into and pretty much don't do GM's unless I can get friends together. I feel your frustration and don't understand how Bungie is so obtuse. I just completed 5 nfo and no sidearm, so much for double rewards.

He normally has good videos, but I watched the current one this morning and it was poor. In that video he mentioned that the weapons are what most players will have available. That is just plain incorrect. Most players will not have Wishender. Moreover, as the years pass fewer players will have this weapon. My own experience with gilding the Conqueror title confirms that few players have it.

And you don’t need Wishender at all. I’ve done the test going in the GM solo, any void weapons with the artifact perks (volatile round) will work against barrier champions. I took the two servitors out with Elsie. So I would not waste a spot for that, a glaive will do wonders for unstoppable, as they can’t touch you with the shield raised while you knock them down. People have been slipping on Hardlight since its rework. Between the current GM surge and the new intrinsic perk you can have almost constant 50% damage buff, which is great given the add density. Plus as a void weapons you get the above mentioned artifacts benefit for anti barrier.

I have been running tests with the lower Nightfalls in preparation for GMs this weekend. In the primary slot I am running the Strand fusion rifle from Zavala. This fusion is excellent - better than Scatter Signal recommended by content creators. For the Energy slot I will probably use Graviton Lance, but Hard Light with Actium War Rig is a very good combination because no reloading is required. In the heavy slot I am running A Fine Memorial. I always use it in GMs because it breaks Arc shields well. Mine has Subsistence to avoid reloading.
