I understand your frustration and share many of the concerns expressed here. Destiny 2 is a game that means a lot to me personally, and that’s exactly why it’s difficult for me to see the direction PvP has taken. I often find myself shaking my head because I wish for so much more.
However, I want to make it clear that my post is primarily about improvement suggestions for PvP. Of course, cheaters are a huge problem, and I think we all wish they didn’t exist. But for this specific topic, there’s already an excellent post by "MoNki" that thoroughly addresses the issue of cheaters.
My focus here is on how we can improve PvP as a whole – for everyone who loves the game and wants it to return to the exciting direction that brought us joy. I believe most of us are here because we care deeply about Destiny 2. So let’s stay constructive and hope together that Bungie hears our voices.
You definitely on point what you said. I just don't know why after all these years they never think of these things and still today they don't.
I did thought about returning after a few months but I don't see how it's worth coming back cause it's the same Rinse and repeat. Nothing has really changed.
I think something that is also majorly integral to PvP's success is the approachability of new/casual players.
Casual players shouldn't be going up against a team of 6 hunters with all sorts of gadgets that make the game easy mode for them.
Everyone should not be getting spawn killed due to fast paced movement in 6v6's...
Eager edge movement should not be allowed, especially without heavy ammo.
Hunter smoke bomb, suspend dive & all other movement impairing/ untrackable movement tech is sorely untouchable for casual audiences especially when dealing with 4+ hunters on the same team & especially when Hunter is the most played class in PvP.
So much BS mechanics that make the "skill" gap look like an absolute clownfest. It is not fun to go up against as a Good player, it certainly isn't going to have casual players stick around either.
Casual players need their casual playlist and the hardcore PvP Sweats need to be separated from that playlist entirely at this point.
