Title.
Infinite spawning enemies in second room and final boss
Constantly having to redeploy ghost
Void snipers that can shoot you the milliseconds they come out of their invincibility? Why do they even have this
Void grenades that melt away your health that are thrown more often than nades in World at War on veteran
An unholy amount of barrier knights at the start
Enemies that take an entire minute to kill because of their health pool
Arc hunger worm?
Whoever decided this would be fun or considers this “challenging” instead of annoying really does deserve to be off the dev team and hopefully they already are.
Edit:
For some reason people cannot grapple with the idea that what I am mentioning (which I already explained above) is clearly able to be read as ANNOYANCES / FRUSTRATING aspects of this GM, hence I say worst not most difficult in the title!
It is not a case of skill, it is about enjoyability, and frankly I find all of these elements just make this GM anything but enjoyable to play.
Sure, you can easily get around all of these elements, I know you can, that doesn’t mean I am going to aimlessly agree that these make the GM more difficult in a fun/challenging rather than artificial way.
For example:
1: Yes the barrier knights can be dealt with as a team, I am not saying you can’t, my complaint lies with the absurd amount of them present in the first section of the GM, there is not need for there to be this many all it does is pad out time spent dealing with them, even if you deal with them in a timely manner.
2: For those who say this isn’t something that comes up if you “deal with the enemies correctly”, while I know that you can deal with the void snipers before they run off towards the middle and go invincible mode, often this seems to still big out and they end up going there regardless, hence it being a frustrating thing to deal with because you did everything you’re supposed to do, yet the game essentially gives you the middle finger.
3: It is absolutely true that both void snipers and void grenades shot and thrown by scorn can be avoided, yet this doesn’t mean that their damage output isn’t grossly overtuned in comparison to other things in the game, no other sniper and no other grenades do as much damage as these do, which to me strikes this as being a balance oversight, because what good reason do these have for dealing the damage they do and other snipers and grenades barely damage you at all? It is also true that both of these were repeatedly bugged and doing more damage than intended during multiple seasons.
4: Bullet sponge enemies and how you deal with them do not correlate directly to skill, everyone I know can sit in a spot and shoot an enemy with a tanky health bar for a 30 seconds to a minute, doesn’t mean it’s fun! Some might argue teamwork is the solution but aside from the one friend I always end up playing with, perhaps this is my luck but teammates I have played with from LFG often don’t end up contributing much if anything at all and play very selfishly, which has resulted in a decent few wiped in the past (but that’s a problem to address some other day..)
5: Lastly, arc hunger worm.. I do not like feeling forced into using a weapon, grenade, melee or even super just to keep this modifier in check. It’s more of an annoyance than (once again) a problem with skill, I would simply like to use what I want to use and deem most effective. Can I deal with it? Yes. Do I / would I want to? Absolutely not.
As a final closing statement to this I would like to once again reiterate that I can clear this GM with the proper loadout (even without it), I could do it blindfolded solo if I really really wanted to! I am also rarely the one to die or mess up GM runs for my team, only if left in a predicament where I am last guardian standing in some cases (for example say in last room being stuck in a corner having void nades thrown at me while enemies rush me down)
This GM, and not just this GM.. is to me just an annoyance with artificial difficulty rather than proper difficulty and challenge, that’s all.

1 답변It's a GM. It's supposed to be the hardest content in the game. Feeding the worm is extremely simple. You literally get ability regen when you do it. Now compare that to the explosive decoy ammo bricks or togetherness where you stop regenerating health if you separate from teammates, or where you can only heal from the attrition orbs? Come on now. Be mature about this. You're struggling, but you can get better at it. Stop letting your frustration get the better of you. Other modifiers have been much much worse.

1 답변I just watched a prismatic Titan beat it alone platinum in seven and a half minutes without a primary and a sword. I seem to remember everyone whining that prismatic Titan was under powered. Now all I see are these meta morons.

1 답변I thought it was one of the easier ones. Only time it's difficult is when your have 2 team mates cowering in the doorway instead of spawn trapping and actually using their powers.
-
2 답변Got a 9 minute clear earlier. People don't get how easy GMs are compared to when they first came about.

A Titan can clear this room easy. Staying in the hall for the second room is a REALLY BAD IDEA. This allows all the adds to spawn while funneling your damage and attacks forward as opposed to giving you room to work. I recommend you stay toward the back of the room to avoid the snipers and champions and shred all the adds from there
Constantly having to redeploy ghost
Not an Issue if you stay in the back of the room and take care of the adds and Champions. Don’t give anything a chance to get rid of the ghost.
Void snipers that can shoot you the milliseconds they come out of their invincibility? Why do they even have this
Again, not an issue if you stay in the back of the room and take care of things as they spawn. To top it, you have plenty of cover and since it’s not Void Threat, they can’t 1 tap ya, so you’re safe.
Void grenades that melt away your health that are thrown more often than nades in World at War on veteran
This is just a skill issue. Get out of the grenade. Watch the screen.
An unholy amount of barrier knights at the start
Barriers are easy if you have a build that can shred champions. Hell, in GMs, you should always build as though you are having to solo the GM. Otherwise it’s not a good build.
Enemies that take an entire minute to kill because of their health pool
Skill issue. Use the Surges to your advantage. Prismatic allows for you to do arc damage and Void and Stasis damage.
Arc hunger worm?
Worms Hunger is very good for you. They give you a ton of abilities. I recommend you make use of it. Again, Prismatic is very good for this.
Whoever decided this would be fun or considers this “challenging” instead of annoying really does deserve to be off the dev team and hopefully they already are.
You are just not good at the game. This GM was hard when it first came out because we were not nearly as powerful, nor did we know how to effectively play this GM. Nowadays, even LFG fireteams are getting 15 minutes and under runs. Genuine Skill Issue.

You gotta work with the modifiers to help you that’s why we have build crafting and you gotta find good teammates as well. Tbf the sniper guys are bs and they never fixed that but you got to play aggressive and really slay out in the second room. IMO the hard part is the first area especially if that one guy gets the totem and removes abilities
-
1 답변The best way to play this gms is to play as aggressive as possible. People playing passively make it so much harder.

The banes, specifically the void banes, are over tuned. Their sight will cover too long of a distance for the amount of health they drain a player of. If the team is not aware, they will destroy a run in seconds.

4 답변It’s a little late for advice, but two warlocks with the new exotic and stasis turrets, you stand at the back center, and block the doorways with turrets. It’s so easy it’s a joke, as long as you doing arc damage. In Destiny, there is always one strat that wins the day.

1 답변I completed the GM on the first attempt with randoms and no mic. We were all good GM players, which makes a difference. I might run it a few more times tomorrow just for fun, if I have time. I ran it as a void Titan. One thing I cannot emphasize enough with GMs is having the recommended power level helps immensely. You take less damage and output more damage when you are at the recommended power level. With my power level at 2030 I will not have any trouble completing the other GMs to gild the Conqueror title again.

작성자: SerFartsaIot 11/16/2024 7:22:24 PMWith the right team, builds and play style this GM is a cakewalk. Like 10-12 minute completions. If you’re struggling, switch up your build and ask for specific guardians to compliment what you need.
-
Could your difficulty be down to. . . load out, play style, team composition (if not solo), expectations? Personally I use the arc hunger to my advantage, like I did the void hunger previously. Have you settled on YOUR own play style??
-
I just duo run this with my clan mate on console, the inferior system to PCs and it was not hard. You have to play aggressive, in all areas. And don’t run double primary. Use radiant/stasis to stun unstops (don’t run pulse).Scorn crossbows and grenades can’t hurt you if they are dead or frozen and then dead.
-
it’s not too bad, my only complaints are the arc-charged chieftains that spawn towards the end and the sniper raiders in the ghost room. as long as you can take care of those and have good area lockdown abilities (area GL’s, bleak watchers, consecration, tethers, etc) it can be made pretty easy
-
1 답변Play aggressively as a team and spawn trap everything. Makes the GM a breeze. Rimecoat lock, consecration pris titan, pris tether hunter are all easy options to make this GM a breeze.

1 답변What was you and your team running build wise? It is a GM so you have to run certain things to make a run run smoothly.
