Strikes are getting out of hand.

I get Nightfalls and GMs need to have some challenges for the seasoned player but regular strikes are getting a ton more annoying since the introduction of the Final Shape expansion. When I started to play strikes on the Vanguard playlist was where you would go for a fast bounty and farm your gear as you progressed in the game. Now it seems strikes are getting less and less forgiving. Enemies can one-shot/two-shot you, dumb modifiers that make every new light in my team die without having any idea what is going on, or nerfing my guns to the point I need to dump mags on red bars as if they were meant to be challenging target and not just cannon fodder, and champions in an activity that is supposedly for people without complete access to anti-champion tech. What is going on? In one of those terrible battlegrounds you insist on shoving into the playlist I got one shot by a blade barrage from a Savathun projection, 100 resilience, overshield and I was with regen on top of all that. Then I got struck again by another barrage from the Lucent hive boss there, now capable of hitting me behind a cover thanks to the insane tracking of that thing. This seems an issue with projectile attacks from those bosses because the Lucent Knight's throwing shield can bounce a million times around and magically find you behind a cover. And in a GM is likely to kill you. Who thinks this is a way to promote the game among new and returning players? I'm basically using GM gear and builds to do even strikes and regular nightfalls now if I don't want to die to every BS you throw at us randomly. Easy, BUNGO, nobody streams strikes and nightfalls. Give us a break.

    Strikes give me what gambit used to.. "ugh here we go w more of this non sense" I was legit complaining about this last night why tf are they so long a tedious now. And GET THE BATTLE GROUNDS OUT. back in their own spot.

    Not compared to strikes in D1. Those were always this tough or tougher. I've noticed the players who die constantly in regular strokes are just running straight into packs of enemies with full melee builds and just hoping some b.s. gameplay loop stolen from a streamer will keep them alive. If you run around brainlessly like a chicken you'll get your head popped off.

    There isn't a single enemy that can one shot you in base level strikes even with less than optimal resilience Hive hunter blade barrage has always had insane tracking. This isnt new. Bungie didn't nerf YOUR guns. Based on all of your loadouts you're not using anything that was nerfed recently.

  • Just hold out until they add Solo Ops. I have a feeling this will solve a lot of the complaints people like you have who just want to do some casual strikes. It will adapt its difficulty to the player. Should be interesting

    • I agree, strikes were nice to farm bounties and play casually. Raising the difficulty in them was not cool. We need rewarding activities for new lights and casuals. I remember farming strikes for hours because they were fun and because i didn’t want a challenge I wanted to use random stuff.
