New strikes(GM) every season. New dungeon, every season.
Switch from conventional raids to a more no mic friendly 6 man activity with challenge coming from the environment and ads.
New Onslaught map every season.
If you want to know the truth, I have never, in 10 years, cared even remotely about any story ever. I just want to shoot ads and have that adrenaline from being close to death at every little mistake, forcing me to improve my skills, my build, and gain knowledge in order to succeed.
Potions or fishing or whatever repetitive boring activity you think is fun that doesn’t involve shooting, yeah, I’m not doing that. As it is, I have only one reason to play: be ready for GMs, which I still like. I have no incentive to play, I have good weapons, more good weapons won’t entice me. I want CONTENT, not weapons.
But that’s just me, a random 50 year old loser who only works hard for a living and plays to unwind.

I can't care about destiny's story because so little of it is actually engaging except like one character which is failsafe. Of course, raid wise unfortunately with destiny's play style the only way no mic raids would work is if they fleshed out each class/subclass have a true specific role like a class purely dedicated to healing with little damage, or a tank midling class that has decent damage while being self sufficient with mechanics relying on positioning, attacks you have to dodge nothing that requires 2 people to interact beyond shooting & movement. (Ff14 raiding is what I'm referring to as a basis) Would I be against it nah, would it be welcomed by the community extremely unlikely because the destiny community eats itself alive and the devs are both unable to flesh out their ideas but don't follow through with what they do create either.

I agree with the shoot'em up part, but I love story. The Streamers are ruining the game for me, because Bungie only seems to listen to them. We can't craft seasonal weapons this season because of people like Datto b****ing about it. Bungie seriously could have emailed every player a vote, like they've done with maps.

작성자: Duke 10/12/2024 12:16:32 PMWell we're not getting that, and we're certainly not getting it for the current price of a season. Also that raid take is insane, and challenge coming from "ads" is hilarious. And if the loot isn't enticing you in the looter shooter....Well, i'll put it this way. I wouldn't go to a bbq joint for food if I didn't like meat. 🤷♂️

작성자: Yosemite Sam 10/11/2024 3:29:04 PMDestiny has one of the worst loot systems in gaming. These bright people working on this game took what the community asked for and turned it into trash. I mean trash that you are constantly dismantling loot the entire time you are playing which has killed the incentive to even to want to grind for most of the loot in the game. The community asked for more loot, better-designed loot, loot that creates an incentive to want to run the boring as-hell content designed in this game. What do these bright people do? They post a TWAB telling everyone "We hear you loud and clear, we know the loot system in the game is unrewarding so we are going to improve that by adding more loot to the game. Mind you, they told the entire player base they know the loot system in this game is unrewarding and didn't do a -blam!- thing about it to try and make it rewording in the last 4 years.
What they did was flood the game with garbage and called that "improving the loot system". As if they did the player base a favor. 99.99% of the loot in this game is worthless, it floods your slots and postmaster every single day and you are spending a good portion of your time dismantling all the garbage that they filled the loot pools with that has flooded the loot pools in this entire game. To make matters worse the RNG in this game is heavily weighted to drop the garbage a lot more often than not making it frustrating as hell having to run the boring content over and over and over and over and over and over again to find one -blam!- good thing out of the entire game only to have this business turn around and nerf it.
This is garbage development. Hell, it's been a decade and they still refuse or it's the simple fact that they don't know how to design a progression system. That alone has caused me and millions to not want to play the game. I want to play, but I'm not playing a broken game that a gaming business is delusional thinking they are doing a good job of creating an incentive for people to want to play.
Switch from conventional raids to a more no mic friendly 6 man activity with challenge coming from the environment and ads.
No, I disagree. Raids are meant to be a social activity so you must have some level of communication between players even in LFG. Raids however are getting too convoluted and annoying to teach so new players don't really get to experience them as experienced players just don't want to take more time doing a raid just to teach new people. They should dial back the mechanics to very simple stuff like D1 VoG level but maybe a mix of D2. So shooting things in order or taking out priority targets before they reach a certain place. Eater of Worlds imo is probably the best D2 raid as an example of this where it was just simple to understand and do. There should still be communication requirements to complete objectives but not as much as we have rn just in general with Salvation's Edge. The potion crafting is definitely them testing a more generalised focusing system for loot meaning that you can earn new/more loot in a wider range of activities that aren't just the most brand new activities. I think the problem with just "more content" in Destiny is it has to come with some incentive to engage with it, it is a live service game after all and so Bungie will want to leverage loot or item incentives to play new activities.

1 답변idk, pretty sure people just skip through strikes a fast as they can, and if they are actually interesting, people find it tedious and leave. The content needs to be more fun. I think people just grind for loot and get bored. I wish the game was more rpg like, more exploration, growing your skills and abilities, camping/fishing, zones not just be barren wasteland zones.

1 답변I just want a more challenging activity with INGAME MATCH MAKING than Strikes, Nightfalls, and Dares!!! I miss the Menagerie so damn much. Fingers crossed Tomb Of Elders is good.

My favorite seasonal activity was the one on calus's ship ( i forget the name. The invincible or something...) During season of solar 3.0. But it was six players and you had to kill waves of enemies to unlock a boss. It was in a patrol zone. You could join in or leave at your leisure. You could solo it if you tried hard enough. Ive never had that much fun playing a seasonal activity before or since. It reminded me of the court of oryx during ttk. It felt collaborative without being restrictive. I never felt pressured to stick around if something came up. I never had to wait for a fireteam. I just started the encounter and if people showed up that was great. I really think that activity doesnt get the credit it deserves. I miss every part of that.

I go for the activities. Some are interesting some are not. They could do so much, they have so many recourses, they could make a patrol zone it’s known dungeon with an encounter in every area, Heroic patrol, they could call it. They could make a survival mode where you land on a map, your ship is shot down, and you have to scavenge the battle field and take out a high ranking commander to destroy a jammer in order to collect loot and get out! They could have deep infiltration missions and revitalize raid areas. I just wish they would utilize empty assets and breathe some life into the game its new modes, new ways to play.

4 답변Whilst I agree with you, I think the direction of travel is the complete opposite. Raids are becoming harder and the mechanics are becoming more silly, and dungeons are fast followers plus it's continually creeping into exotic missions. The hardcore elites love this, but the casual weekend players are finding it increasingly difficult. I logged in after the new episode dropped and the standard nightfall was 2005 power, I was at 1999 and the enemies were at 2010. If the next few episodes each add +10 then I expect standard nightfalls could go up to 2025 power, so those who don't engage in the power or artifact xp grind will be left behind as not all activities have the power leader uplift mechanism. Adding more and more weapons and fiddling with armor is not the answer, and bringing back the power grind isn't either. More content i.e. activities is what is needed.

I think if Bungie had followed WQ with another cool new location to SHOOT GUNS there would be MANY more people playing this game. Far too much crap that costs less to produce but fails to satisfy a majority of players. Consequently, a majority of the greatly reduced player base hates something about the game. Not sure a majority loves something about the game. Everything from LF forward has pushed me away. And D2 is/was the only game I play!

You know that old adage about how you can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time? I think Bungie needed to learn how to just not piss off most of the people most of the time! What Destiny has missed during most of its lifetime is variety; having just one element that is going to keep people interested in that one thing coming back time and again. You like shooting stuff but someone else likes fishing? Why can't there be both, so at least the pair of you can be happy about something. Conventional raids should be there for those who like them but then so should the 6 man activities you spoke about (I never thought I'd miss escalation protocol, but man does the Mars battleground make me feel nostalgic). What they should never, ever have done is remove stuff - if some MMO's can run for as long as Destiny has and never remove a single piece of content (in some cases reworking older stuff to fit the evolution of a game), then I'm pretty sure Bungie could have done it.
-
They should do more with cutscenes and less "go here and talk to this person". There's a reason Bungie did better with Halo. Even Reach, where you literally had days between certain missions that you didn't get to see, was better at letting you understand the story. Between destroying a super carrier, literally just doing random -blam!- in the city for 2 missions, and then becoming a mail person, I still understand it better than getting an update every second some new development happens at the holoprojector.
Switch from conventional raids to a more no mic friendly 6 man activity with challenge coming from the environment and ads.
you can run salvations edge almost mute (besides 4th encounter), same for almost any other raid. if you're getting away from the point where each member has to contribute in information gathering / mechanics where is the difference between a raid and a seasonal activity besides the wipe mechanic?

I miss taken king/ rise of iron type campaigns, even after the campaign there was plenty to do, the little pre season activities like just before house of wolves, the mini public event where you could get treasure keys and even the pre dark below where you could get the start of necrochasm quest by killing the knights, but I imagine is not the same studio anymore as all the people who were there to create all that have been laid off now to save Pete's car collection

1 답변I don't want to see raids dumbed down and I'm as casual as it gets. I would like to see more six man activities like menagerie with good loot to chase after. I don't know why bungie is so afraid to implement more of these type of activities.
