I'd call it a sacrifice, and we all know what comes next in the Guardian tenants.

I think Misraaks is going to die and be resurrected as a Guardian somewhere down the line. Back in the Season of the Witch, he was one of the people shown interacting with the Deck of Whispers. The card he drew was Ascension. True, this could have multiple meanings, but I believe him ascending into a Lightbearer himself isn't too far out if the question. The whole Witch Queen and it's lore books was a set up to that. It's not a comparability issue with Ghosts, it's more that no Ghost would have ever though to give the Light to anything that was humanity's enemy. Even as far back as the Ghost Tales lorebook, we see a Ghost who is afraid his Chosen might be a Fallen (as it turns out, it was an Awoken man trapped underneath it's corpse). But the fact that the Ghost eventually accepts this possibility shows us even then, it was never an issue of whether a Ghost could or could not. Misraaks also fits the Guardian tenets in all but death at the moment. He also fits the prophecy of the Kell of Kells and can even be argued at this point to have fulfilled it with Saint-14 naming him such back in Splicer. Saint being the adoptive son of the late Speaker, who was the voice of the Traveler, aka the Great Machine. One could argue the Great Machine has crowned Misraaks Kell of Kells by proxy. Finally, the lore of the seasonal armour seems to heavily imply that Misraaks sacrificed himself somehow, or at the very least is no longer around (as himself, potentially) anymore, at least in my reading of it.
