Is there a way to get the exact roll on exotic class item?

Grinding my face off trying to get heart of inmost light spirit of the claw on my exotic class item on warlock and can't get it am I doing something wrong Its getting so frustrating

There isn't a way to force a roll. With Episode 2 they'll be adding an attunement option that will let you pick a trait (either column) to increase its chance of dropping; won't be guaranteed to roll though.
