Crossplay - Authentication error
I recently built a new PC. I am trying to set up crossplay. I want to link my xbox account with my steam account so I can play on PC.
When setting up crossplay, I authenticate my steam account with no issues. But I also have an Epic account linked to my Bungie account. When I try to authenticate my Epic account, the window loads very slowly and then pops up with this message:
"Authenticate Error
An unexpected error occurred while communicating with your selected authentication provider. If this issue persists, we recommend closing your web browser and opening it again. If the issue continues, please visit the Help page for additional assistance."
I couldnt find anything for this specific situation. My steam account can authenticate just fine, but it seems like Bungie cant communicate with my Epic account. I have tried this on Chrome and Opera and even a different computer.

1 답변작성자: EckyThump 8/20/2024 11:11:27 PMHey there, so when you log in here on Bungie.net, you're using your XBox credentials, right? Try logging out, and logging back in using your Epic credentials. One of two things will happen, 1 - You'll be logged in to this same account here, and Epic will be already authenticated on the cross-save screen, so you only need to do the authentication step for XBox and Steam, or, 2 - It will log you into a different Bungie account altogether, meaning the Epic account linked to your original setup is actually a different account.
