Bungie name changed by bungie
Hello, I logged in this morning to a banner saying that my crossplay name has been changed to Guardian#[numbers]. I have had this name since the game has released and it has never been changed or violated guidelines. My name was Quotramplegofflemuffleduff, and I don't know what code this has violated. If anyone has an idea it would be greatly appreciated because I have had this account since the beta with that name and it is iconic to me.

I strive to provide the most accurate information possible and regret this did not happen in this case. Unfortunately, the issue was not discovered/announced until quite some time after the original post and reply. Here is the most recent reply from the Community Team’s Twitter account as of the posting of this correction and apology. 1 답변My name was changed yesterday as well and I cannot change it back. I don't remember changing my name, but I guess I did originally from the default to what it was. I hope this all gets reversed

Same here I was playing till late last night and woke up to my name being changed abruptly. I hope I will be allowed to change it again after already using my token. If anything I think every 6 months to a year you should gain that token back.

1 답변Same here I got on today 8/13/24 and my name was changed to guardian crap, I've had my name for year's ever since Xbox and PS4 came out. Its the same name on both systems too. ItsSirJackazz. Everything I do goes by that name and always has, I want to know why and how to change it back. A jackazz is a donkey an its not offensive its a animal an or to be stubborn.

3 답변Bungie what gives. My name was ajhood2404. It’s my actual name for gods sake. Now I can’t change it back. You can’t seriously suggest my actual name is offensive. If you don’t sort this, I as a 10year veteran from D1 will 100% quit this game. Please advise what you intend to do about this
