Steam account and cross-save
Hello
Some time ago, I linked my Bungie and Steam accounts together to make use of cross-save for Destiny 2. My main platform used to be Xbox but I've since moved to Steam. However, after I changed the name on my steam account, the characters from my Xbox are not accessible, and since I only own Beyond Light on Steam and not on the Microsoft store, installing that version of the game on PC has not helped.
Now, I tried to deactivate cross save and go through the 90 day wait period, but because the name on my Steam account is now different from the one linked to Bungie, it will not let me authenticate it.
Any help would be much appreciated as I'm just coming back for The Final Shape and am really excited to try out.

I don't get that. You can only change your steam profile name, not your account name. The bungie account linking should not be bothered with your new profile name since the account name always stays the same. Did you use a different steam account? Furthermore the installed version of the game has nothing to do with what you see. There's only one destiny2.
