Why punish legit players like myself?
I don't use macros to farm exotic class items. I spend hours opening chests legit. I also zone in by myself and don't slow down other people's overthrow experience. Macro farmers will still macro farm even with a .0001% chance because it consumes zero of their time. But i will no longer farm chests just like i no longer run dual destiny because it's no longer worth my time. Only difference this drop % nerf will make is that myself (and others) will no longer farm legit with worse rates. Marcos will be the only chest farmers after this change.
Why does the solution to macro farming actively hurt legit players while not bothering macro players at all? Are you seriously running with this as a solution to the problem? This seems like a horrible inconsiderate solution to a problem they created by making something highly in demand with almost no good way to get. If they just buffed drop rates on ALL chests the problem will fix itself. Ppl wont run macros if they think it is worth their time to farm again. The obvious solution of making duplicate protection won't happen but punishing legit farmers will? How?!

This is nothing new. Bungie has always been making things easier for people who complain without acknowledging the people who initially suffered to do it the original way. You spent hours farming Faction Rallies and Prestige Raids for those exclusive Catalysts? Well now they're random drops you can get. You clawed you're way to get Crucible Pinnacles like Revoker or Recluse? Here's a kiosk where you can just buy them whenever you want.

Jeez everyone is blind. Yeah, congrats, the WORLD CHESTS avaliable EVERYWHERE, will have a lower drop chance. The overthrow chests, and the chests that are linked to it such as the expunged chests, get a stacking buff basically making to where if you play the activity that Bungie designed, then you can easily get, theoretically, one item per run of overthrow. Which is actually pretty good saying that overthrow doesn't take an ungodly amount of time. Everyone is focusing on the percentage nerf to world chests, completely ignoring the MASSIVE buff to overthrow chests. Just go play some overthrow, get some sword rolls, get some loot all in the process of getting the class items.

25 답변I've never got a class item from an Overthrow encounter chest, so by my math doubling the drop rate still gives me .......... Zero class items. Unless my math is flawed, don't see how this change helps anyone.

1 답변This is simply another bad decision by Bungie. Seriously, I don’t know who is in charge nowadays given the recent exodus of the Team Lead but whoever it is has not been in sync with the player base whatsoever. We have these community managers whose job it is to relay the feedback from the community to those at the studio. Let’s assume that has occurred. It becomes obvious that Bungie isn’t listening. That Bungie is making Destiny less fun to play for the average everyday player. Why would they do that? Because they simply don’t care anymore about making games players want to play. It’s a giant middle finger to everyone that’s ever purchased a Bungie game when the Developer ignores the player base.

1 답변I'm in complete agreement, it's already hard enough to keep up with mouse and keyboard players but to then punish console players for something we have no ability to even attempt is ridiculous. I am a naturally solo player, so to lower the rates of drops from the only source of being able to pull the item sucks. Bungie loves to punish cheaters and take them to court but for whatever reason Instead of creating something to pick up on players using macros and banning them to you know stop this forever no instead it's easier to just take it out on the entire community. I've played this game since it's release and to be honest it has gotten so repetitive and stall, on top of taking away content we paid real money for but this kind of crap is the stuff that will keep honest/console players who couldn't use it even if they wanted to from returning or continuing to be a part of the community.

Agreed. I also would farm chests legitimately as I knocked out Banshee’s bounties. Now, thanks to macro users, I will no longer be doing this. They continue to make everything a giant pain in the -blam!- for literally no reason. The irony is that the reason they do this idiotic nonsense is to keep players playing the game but all it does is piss people off to the point of exasperation, causing them to leave. There’s literally zero reason why they can’t just add the exotic class items to all activities!

They should've just implemented the fix they did way back in black armory with the macro users afking the forges. They got kicked from the activity after a really short period of time instead of being able to stay in the activity for the whole duration. Everyone gets punished because of these people.

1 답변After doing the Khovostov quest and having to beat the meatball boss like 2 dozen times to finally get the last mote drop, I’m done. Never doing Overthrow again. I definitely think I’m not the only one who feels this way, so I don’t know why Bungie would nerf chest farming and make us do Overthrow… just a bad decision to increase the grind.

1 답변That's how do it legit, it's PC streamers that are to blame but bungie has more leniency with them. Now chests around the place is no longer viable. Just farm overflows. Just wondering what the average drop rate will be. But still not fix for the rng dupes

1 답변This is why we need to be able to craft these exotic class items. Farm them and unlock the exotic trait by dismantling it, eventually you will have every trait at your disposal. This will incentivise farming them till we get every trait. Then after acquiring every trait farm over. This is the way to give the players what they want and eventually having a single class item that can inevitably have any roll that would be desired at the cost of some shards prisms golf balls or oranges. This would also allow for build diversity and something worth farming for, and can be altered at anytime as long as you have acquired the exotic traits to swap out for at anytime.
