I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this issue, since I haven't really spoken to anyone else about it, but it's certainly something that I am struggling with.
Problem:
There are FAR too many weapons / items in this game to only have 700 vault space. I know we just got an additional 100 slots. Perhaps I am hoarding more than I need to? I don't know for sure. I use the Vault Cleaner on the destiny recipes website, and I probably have to end up cleaning my vault maybe every 3-5 days. When I do a clean, I usually end up dismantling 150 - 200 items. Which means I'm left with 500 items still in my vault. So maybe I am hoarding a bit? But still, there are just so many items, different perk combinations on weapons, armor with different stats to make different builds, and now, ergo sums with different perks. Most egregious of all, the exotic class item. Let's say you were an insane person who wanted to collect them all. 64 different perk combos for each class. 192 total. ~27% of your total vault space. Now, obviously, that would take a LONG time to grind out, and it probably doesn't make sense to keep them all if you don't need them all, but still, even if you don't have them all, it still will take a sizeable portion of your vault to hoard a bunch for each class.
Solutions:
- Add more vault space, maybe a nice round 1,000 slots? (kind've like putting a bandage on the issue but it's better than what we have now)
- Make it so the exotic class items can be held / pulled from collections? Maybe make the class items work like the Aeon gloves? Where each perk is a mod that you can pick from instead of it's own item?
- Do something similar with Ergo Sum as well?
- Maybe add some better way for the collections to work in general? Like instead of collections automatically just unlocking when you get the item, maybe you have to sacrifice the item into the collection and it'll lock in the perks you have, and if you want to pull it from there at a later time, you can?
I usually don't make posts like these, or really, post in general, but I wanted to throw it out there, in hopes that maybe something could be done at some point down the line, and see if maybe others have this issue as well. Thanks for reading!

1 답변The exotic class items killed my vault. 64 items per class? That's just f... absurd. Those things should be craftable.

6 답변Even if Bungie pushed it up to 2000 spaces people would plus complain . There is no vault space problem 🤷🏼♂️

작성자: bizo 7/14/2024 1:01:36 PMTotally support you cause. I want to have the roll, all the rolls. Once I earned them by playing I don't want to be forced to delete it. The case is Always deleting future meta rolls and then can't get them again. Every gun should be retrievable from the collection once deleted, simple as that. You have roll. Delete. Want the roll again, retrieve from collection. That should be done way back. But I see no light, Destiny 2 will end as Destiny 1 ... in a year or two. Dead end. Who cares about D1 ? Same will going to happen with D2 ... so unfortunately, sooner we accept the fact, sooner we can breakout from the fact that Destiny 2 is lacking at all fronts. Will Bungie surprise us ? Doubt it. But never say never.

YES! I can't second this enough. In fact, I had the same idea when collections were first introduced, way back when. I'm glad I'm not the only one to think of this. Much of my vault is occupied by one or two of the best rolls I've gotten on each weapon. Allowing us to offload our preferred rolls into the Collections tab would solve a ton of inventory management issues. Bungie, let us curate our own rolls!

Unnecessary, we started with 500 and people were jazzed when we got 600. Then, they filled up those slots with more junk and complained so we got 700. Same story all over again so adding slots won't help. Even if they made it 1,000 in a couple months people would be asking for more. The problem is players self monitoring. You only have 700 hours in the game which is quite a bit but in the scheme of this game is small. In time you'll learn what you like/don't like and what can go. You'll better monitor your vault and this won't be a problem. At 7,000 hours in the game i only hover around low 400's in vault. The biggest thing I've seen with people asking for more space is their vault is full of junk. Some advice: use d2 armor picker for your main exotic builds/stats and discard the rest. Pick legendary armor pieces that work across multiple builds. Those boots with high stats but a bad distribution haven't served you since you got them seasons ago so you won't miss them. Look at all the legendary weapons you use on a regular basis and look at all the others you haven't touched. Even if you hover around 50 guns you normally use that leaves hundreds of others collecting dust. Only rotate guns into your normal builds that are staple weapons or stuff you're interested in trying then discard the ones collecting dust. At that point the only things that will be in your vault are exotic weapons/exotic armor and the legendary weapons you rely on regularly with a smattering of potential guns for different situations. You'll find a lot of space just appears when you go through this and most of the guns you have with interesting perks were never put to use anyway. You're right about the exotic class items though, they are actually a problem but realistically there's only 3 rolls per class that are really worth it as staple build items. Hopefully something is done about them soon.

2 답변When I clean my vault, I pull out some paper and write down the archetypes and elements for each weapon type. If end up with two of the same type, I determine which is for PvE and which is for PvP since they usually have very different perk pools/rolls, and I'll change the kill tracker. Once there is a third (or more), they get dismantled. There are some sentimental ones, usually kinetic, that go on my other characters, Adaptive Hand Cannons for example: Fatebringer/Midnight Coup/Spare Rations/Judgement/etc. I try to keep different weapon models so there is some variety but sometimes it's no contest which is better and I end up with two of the same exact weapon with different rolls. Also another thing you can do with that same paper is to write down the new seasons weapons and mark down the perks you want, so you don't just randomly throw then in the vault. Hopefully this will help with your vault space issue!

5 답변Ah yes it's that time again to talk about vault space huh. My opinion I think you're hoarding too much and increasing vault space is only a temporary band-aid. For example they gave us 100 more slots and already people are filling it up and asking for more... again.

8 답변Who would have thought, bungie added more vault space and people now want more because they hoard junk. It’s almost like everyone with common sense said hoarders would just fill up their vaults again and want more space. Think about that

작성자: 0mgItsVenom 7/13/2024 4:22:29 PMIts simple, delete bad rolled weapons or weapons that you have not touched in a while in which you don't have an attachment to said weapon. Do you have about 4+ solar scout rifles in your vault, if so, narrow it down to around 4 as there is no point in hoarding the same type of weapon that fires differently to others. If it feels good sure but at least narrow it down. For example if I have Luna's Howl, Trust, Zaouli's Bane and many other solar based hand cannons in my vault. I would narrow it down to at least 4/5. Keep 1 or 2 for PVP and PVE. Same can be said for all types of weapons, Kinetic Scouts, Arc Hand Cannons and so on. I would try to keep at least 1 type of weapon for all elemental types plus kinetics that don't have a elemental type. For armour it gets very easy. If you hoard a load of high stat legendary armour pieces and trying to narrow it down. Delete low stat armour rolls and keep the high stat(total stat value). Then compare your high Resil, Recov and Discpl roll to another roll like the one I mentioned. Which ever is better keep ofc and delete the other one. Even if you got that armour piece from a raid, it doesn't matter since transmog is a thing. The main thing is that, In D2 you don't need to keep every single weapon as a lot of the times, the feel of the weapon is more important than other weapons of the same type.

I’d rather be able to just pull exotic weapons from collections at current light level so I can delete all of those. I use raid armor mods too so have kept all the raid armor sets. I’m gonna delete them now anyway, but it would be nice to have one raid armor set that can use any mods.

How many of them are you even using? How much overlap and redundancy is there just among that static pool? I’m imagining every weapon type, each with every element and multiple rolls for different scenarios. A ton of niche gear- doesn’t matter how “good” it is, when you have three of them it’s two too many. That you don’t need to hoard because you find viable equivalents regularly, hence the adding of 150-200 every few days… You shouldn’t be storing them if they didn’t have viability and they aren’t being kept because you already have their role filled with a better weapon. So yeah. You’re way over doing it. But that behavior is encouraged as “part of the game” Endless grinding for crap you don’t need to make you think you’re doing something meaningful in the game. ‘Gotta build that stockpile in case I need one particular item in the future’ Welcome to being manipulated.

작성자: ㅤ Avvor 7/12/2024 10:45:32 PMIf your vault is full It’s full of trash quite simply Because while there are a bunch of weapons in the game several are so similar you do not need both and not enough of them are good enough where you’d need them at all

2 답변My vault is full again too. I need to clean it out this weekend because I hoard lol. I start with exotic weapons I’m not using seeing they can be pulled from collections, then I look at duplicate rolls and get rid of them and then the hard part begins… That’s where I log off haha.
