OP says Thruster needs a faster cooldown and all Hunters lose their minds lol. Never change, Destiny community. For the record, if Thruster can’t get some form of utility, then it probably should have a lower cooldown. Thruster did catch a nerf back during the HoIL storm nade spam era but given how that play style doesn’t exist anymore, it’d probably be safe to revert that nerf.

Facts thruster is useless Icarus dash at least has utility via flying, movement, dodging. But hunter dodge is tied to the worst stat in the game however no other class has weapons (lightweight frame) that give a free plus 20 to there class stat. Also Icarus doesn't break aim assist nor does thruster.

Thruster is an ability that mimics dodge. It should be generally worse than dodge as it's not a focus of the classes identity. Leave it to a titan to think they should be better hunters than hunters.

Dodge cd scales with a stat the other 2 classes can ignore and either: Reloads guns Or restores melee IF used near an enemy. Any other alterations require an aspect or an exotic, such as Dragons Shadow (reloads all weapons and buffs handling I think) or Threaded Spectre. Resilience is a stat no class can ignore, titans especially. And the thruster cd will scale with said stat. But one thing you aren't considering is how useful it can be with Prismatic. Khepri, Drengr's Lash, that rocket chest piece, Icefall, the thruster can synergize with more exotics/ abilities than Dodge, most of which are offensive where as Hunter Dodge is more utility even on its exotics/ aspects. Tell you what though, I'll agree that thruster should have a shorter CD, but only if: Hunters get more purely offensive/ defensive exotics/ aspects for Dodge. Thruster CD scales ONLY with mobility, forcing titans to dumpster resilience or recovery, which Hunters can't really do. And Mobility gets buffed to increase weapon handling, reload, ADS, and stow/ ready speed for hunters. Perfectly fair.

Thruster is tied to Resilience, a much more useful stat than Mobility, so no, it doesn’t need a quicker cool-down. It also works with Drengr’s Lash.

That's where you're wrong. It's alot better than dodge at actually dodging, and can actually be used for real momentum. Try using dodge for momentum. Don't get me wrong, I support this, but you're wrong about it being worse than dodge.

You forgot to add one thing Thruster is tied to resilience. Aka the strongest stat in the game that you already want to maximize Meanwhile to have a low dodge cooldown hunters have to spec on a useless stat that is only there for the dodge cooldown. Meaning you give up on a faster nade regen or resilience or recovery etc... That is why thruster do not need a shorter cooldown. Its fine as it is, and have good synergies with prismatic

That doesn’t make any sense because the base dodge doesn’t have that functionality those are exotics - plus drengr’s lash works with thruster so should we increase thrusters cooldown? Unless they implement increase cooldowns like what bakris has which feels terrible then no why should thruster be quicker than dodge u have barricade n hunters have a little radiant front slip which takes ages to come back
