Game is freezing after 5+ hours of gameplay
Hi.
I am having an issue with Destiny 2 freezing after 5+ hours of gameplay. (It doesn't give any error codes and it also doesn't matter where in the game I am, can be director, character, raid, free roaming etc.)
Is this an issue other players are experiencing?
Is there any settings that I should use in order for the game to not freeze?
I hope that someone can help me in solving this issue.

As mentioned by user silentbutviolent below, if the freezing happens after extended game time, this could likely be due to your system overheating and/or CPU overload. Please check your fan/cooler and check for any CPU-hungry tasks that may be causing performance issues. You might also want to close the game and restart it after a few minutes to see if everything goes back to normal. Let us know how it goes!

freezing after extended play time can be an indicator of heat build up. make sure your temps aren't getting too high. check your cooling to make sure it's working properly and maybe (if you can) swap out the paste on the cpu. also make sure your rig is in a well ventilated area. also look into if your bios needs an update.
