lots of linux players would gladly play your game on both handheld and desktop
I think they might know more about the potential for people to cheat with the handheld than we do. If the game isn't supported on a given platform its simply not supported. Its also not on Nintendo products because its just not. Don't really understand why its considered "wrong" to not support a given platform.
its very clear that destiny isnt on nintendo switch(performance issues because its running a nvidia shield chip lol)
MANY games support linux/proton now, it is no longer a "cheating" issue and simply bungie being ignorant to support a platform, battleye, eac, even some chinese anticheats work with linux/proton and are VERY easy to support
many games like the finals, xdefiant, fragpunk, apex legends, halo series including infinite, helldivers 2, overwatch 2, deadlock, cs2, dota 2, the division series, naraka bladepoint all work great under linux and are using eac, battleye or their own anticheat that work with proton
the only exceptions being full kernel level anticheats that dont work because of proton/wine design being userspace and so not having access to the linux kernel, of course this can change in the future
but again its not because of cheating, i have done lots of research about cheating on linux under proton and they dont exist because it being hard to maintain and not enough buyers to keep the devs working on it, you also can not just run windows cheats through wine and it will magically work, its not how that works and valve + codeweavers have patches in place for making cheats not work properly under wine/proton
its anti consumer for not supporting another platform when the majority of software and apis that are in place work properly for a game like destiny 2, especially when its backed by valves engineers
