Fireteam Finder, Picky Guardians
I get wanting to get the best for whatever you are trying to achieve. But to sit out an entire 6 person team because you didn't want to invite them because you thought they wouldn't be good. The fact that we want to help should speak more volumes, especially when those that want to have the experience and level to do so. So, to Bungie, good job on the fireteam finder. To my fellow guardians, mainly those who view themselves as elite, we should help each other, not be snobs.

It depends what you're talking about, If I see someone with unmasterworked gear and worldine zero in my pantheon fireteam you best believe that they're getting kicked, but if its like a dungeon run or a non-competitive type activity I see no reason to kick someone Don't even get me started on the people who join a fireteam with the label: HAVE A MIC and they don't HAVE A MIC it drives me insane. If you put "experience requested" the person should have experience lol

At the end if the day, no one is obligated to play with anyone, and it costs nothing to make your own posts. I don’t know the context, but for something like a normal mode dungeon, I take most anyone. But for something like Pantheon, a GM, master/contest raid, etc. there isn’t anything wrong with not inviting Joe Shmo who has barely done anything endgame and barely has any sort of build. Also, a vast majority of players who would consider themselves elite aren’t even good (i.e. don’t even interact with/struggle in actual endgame content).

I feel like the old app lfg with custom titles was infinitely better. You could vibe what a team would be like before joining. People could actually say what cp they’re on. There weren’t dead listings that stay up for hours while people are already in the activity playing. You could find a post at 5pm on a Tuesday saying “Vog fresh kwtd quick run be good”, and by god you’d knew you were gonna get 5 solid people and one amateur speed runner flexing at every possible opportunity, and you’d be done in 50 minutes. Now, you join a post and need to boot 2 people who don’t have mics, and once someone leaves, only one in 3 people who join end up having a mic or actually want to be at a checkpoint. Sometimes it’s fun to play with a chill group learning the raid, but sometimes I just want to get it done, and there is absolutely no way to distinguish between posts anymore.

2 답변It really sucks when I can't find any other friends at the time and have to try and find a team. I only use stompies cause I don't like how sluggish hunter feels without it, but people see the damn legs and assume I can't do optimal damage or don't know pve. There are so many tools that already exist that I can do above optimal without celestial or star eater, and I'd rather feel comfortable than have slightly better damage.

1 답변FTF is such a bad thing for this game, because half the time people don’t know how to invite and the app’s fireteam finder is much better.

9 답변I’ve tried using the in game fireteam finder a few times. Each time was a ‘chill, newbie friendly, no experience necessary’ type post. Hit the apply to join button. Watched the timer tick down until it timed out with no invite. Guess they didn’t like the look of my guardian or something.

The best advice I've been given for getting invited to the higher difficulty encounters is to 'Dress For The Part'. Make sure your load-out reflects knowledge/readiness for what you'll be facing and isn't just Sunshot Build no. 7394954

I try to make an attempt or two before giving up on someone. Especially GMs, if they don’t have any clue as to what to do or how to stay alive usually I just give ‘em a kick. If they put the effort in (although not always the best but idc) I’m perfectly content helping out or letting them join up. I just don’t do Carries cause I’m not good enough for the at yet.

Fireteam finder was a great idea but the community failed it. From people who don't read posts to people wanting S class teams all the time. Made my own post once. No mic when saying mic required. Its a bit like the guided games. Where it failed also due to the community being up their own -blam!- so much. Wishing literal carries without a mic, holding teams hostage via oathkeeper score. The reason I stick to xbox integrated lfg as well, that and bungie wants us to use fireteam chat but it was disabled yesterday for me🤦♂️. Party chat and discord were the only options

2 답변Had the inverse of a clan run like this. They wanted more new people to teach. When a slot was still opened I offered to help, but they didn’t want it. In the end the run never happened 🤷🏻♂️ It is what it is
