Lol, they're definitely not doing that.
And why would you want them to? Dropping PVP would drop a large portion of the game and alienate a huge portion of the playerbase. It would be worse for everyone.

They have main character syndrome and believe that only the gamemodes they like should remain
Even if they have the option not to play said gamemodes
